HOW TO REGISTER ONLINE
1. Go to Bolton.govoffice.com and select the Recreation Department hot button to the right side of the
webpage
2. Click on the link for boltonrec.recdesk.com
3. Login at the top right hand corner to your existing RecDesk ID or create a new ID
4. Select program of interest from the online registration tab and click register
5. Payment is required with registration, online registration payment can be made with a credit card (there
is a 3% convenience fee)
Or you can also come in to office and we can process the registration by cash, check or card.

During the week participants will spend time participating in outdoor activities, creating crafts and examine what spring has to offer as we hope to welcome the nice weather! Each day is filled with enthusiasm, encouragement of teamwork as well as individual growth with friends and counselors! Daily participants should bring with them snacks dependent upon the times they are there as well as a lunch, a refillable water bottle, extra clothes, and the appropriate outdoor as well as indoor clothing.
Wednesday we will take a field trip to Silver Lanes Bowling in East Hartford CT for bowling and laser tag! We will have Pizza Lunch provided this day while at the bowling alley. The bus will leave Herrick Park at 9:30 am and is scheduled to arrive back at Herrick Park at 1:30pm. Please note there are no pick ups or drop offs that take place off site of camp; you will not want to miss the bus!
Friday we will end the week with a special party right at camp including but not limited to a bounce house (weather depending), pop corn and a movie!
Register early and receive a discount! Early Bird Registrations are due by February 14, 2020 to receive $15.00 off the full week of registration, $10.00 off a three day registration or $5.00 off a two day registration.
25% deposit is due with registration in order to process. Full payment is due prior to Monday morning Drop off.

Let's blast into space with our intro to rocketry class. In this high flying class children will begin with the basics behind propulsion using plastic water bottles and paper to get their minds thinking before getting into the rocket kits. Once the kits are introduced Kid Corner's knowledgeable instructors will guide them through the math, science and aeronautics while assisting them in building their very own rocket and launch pad! As long as spring weather permits the class will end with rockets being launched outdoors!

This program focuses on the development of children aged 2 – 5 years old. Challenger sports soccer experts and child development professionals have designed an innovative curriculum that introduces your young soccer stars to the basic skills needed in soccer as well as developing their motor, social, and psychological skills. The British coaches are experts at working with young children and will combine soccer with fun games, stories and music that keeps your children entertained and enthused to return next week.

All Ages are Welcome and are separated into three different sections of the field to search for eggs; Ages 3 and under, Ages 4-7, and Ages 8+. Music Games and Scavenger hunts are available for everyone who joins us prior to the egg hunt to enjoy
Parents are required to stay at the park with their child during this event. All eggs are filled with candy and toys Allergies are taken into consideration however we ask that you check your child's candy prior to eating it
This event is held rain or shine—If weather is in climate we will be inside of the building at Herrick park instead with the egg hunt beginning at 12:00pm and one age group at a time. Times for each age range will be posted to our website.

This course is for youth’s age 11 to17 years of age with the most common age of 12 - 14. This is an entry level course intended to teach age appropriate skills necessary to care for children of all ages using team babysitting, mother’s helper and individual babysitting concepts. The course focuses on safety with emphasis on prevention. Other topics include hand washing, diapering, bottle feeding, personal safety and interview skills. Basic first aid and obstructed airway management for a conscious choking adult/child and infant will be covered. First Aid including adult and child CPR (requires passing written and skills testing to receive 2 year certification) Booklet, handouts and Babysitter Safety
Certificate of completion included. Courses are taught by Life safe services.
What to bring– water bottle, snacks and lunch for the day. There is a fountain on site to refill water bottles. Registration is due by April 8, 2020.

Annual Egg Hunt
Home Alone Safety for Kids
Home alone safety for kids is a unique two hour interactive class for both boys and girls who are left home alone. The course will cover safety concerns parents have when their children are home by them selves. Participants will learn to be more aware of potential dangers they may face when home alone. Each student will receive a workbook that covers house key safety, indoor and out door safety (including kitchen), gun safety, fires and gas leaks. They will also review first aid kit essentials, as well as phone, door and internet safety.
Parents and/or guardians are asked to attend the final ten minutes of the course. They will receive a workbook with conversation starters such as creating a family fire escape plan and the importance of an emergency contact list.

preregistration required for these programs. Register and pay the night of the classes with cash or check.

Join the 10th annual kids to parks day this May
National Park Trust (NPT) urges kids across the country to discover
science, history, nature, and adventure in a neighborhood park
right around the corner or just across town. All ages are welcome
to join in the kids to park day events.
Join the Bolton Recreation Department Director and the Bolton Conservation Commission Chair
for a Tree Hike!
The Hike will begin at 10:00 am, please dress appropriately for the weather and arrive to
Herrick Park early to ensure you do not miss us.
Sturdy water proof footwear is highly recommended
The hike will be 1.5 miles long and take about an hour and a half
Dogs are not permitted on the hike
If there is heavy rain the hike will be cancelled, any cancellations will be posted to the

Bring a picnic for lunch and spend the afternoon in the park! Scavenger hunts and activity
booklets will be provided on a first come first serve basis following the hike.

Bolton Recreation Department Policies Bolton Recreation Department Policies
Registrations– Spaces within a program may be limited and are filled on a first come first serve basis. Registration deadlines for
each program may very, however ALL registrations ate due at least one week prior to program start date. If space and equipment
in the program allow, late registrations may be accepted with an additional $20.00 late fee. Once a participant is registered for a
program there are no refunds or switching of names for other participants to replace their spot. Most registrations can be taken
through Bolton Rec Desk account at https://boltonrec.recdesk.com, if they are taken through an outside vendor the vendors web-
site/link will be posted to the program description.
Payments and Fees: All checks should be made to Town of Bolton. For all checks returned as unpaid due to insufficient funds or
any other form of cancellations will be charged an additional $25.00. When paying with a card through our online program a non-
refundable 3% convenience fee is charged based on the total amount due. If paying in office with credit card a valid ID will be re-
quired to process payment. In office cash may also be accepted for payment, however we do not always have the appropriate
amount of change on hand. When registering for a single day event or program without a payment plan; full payment is due when
registering. When registering for a long term program or event with a payment plan; 25% must be paid upfront when registering
with full payment due one week prior to the program start. If this payment is not received by the deadline on your invoice you will
receive the additional $20.00 late fee. Many programs offer second child discounts; in order to receive this discount you will need
to contact the Recreation Department prior to registration to receive.
Resident/Non-resident policy: Many programs accept both resident and non-resident registrations however not ALL program
do. If non-resident registrations will be accepted it will be listed on the program description, if it is not listed that program is a
resident only program. Resident- (a) any child in the Bolton Public School system; (b) persons employed by a Bolton-based agency
and their families; (c)persons who pay taxes in the community. Proof of residency may be required at the time of registration for
department programs. Non-residents of Bolton are welcome to join all of our summer programs, preschool aged programs and
other miscellaneous youth programs. After school programs and basketball league registration is for residents only.
Refunds: There are no refunds once you have registered for a program. The Recreation Department reserves a right to cancel or
consolidate programs if registration is insufficient. Any program that is cancelled by the recreation department will result in a full
refund of the program charges. You will receive this refund via check from the Town of Bolton within 2-4 weeks of cancellation.
All requests for refunds must be made in writing and all refunds that are issued will be assessed a $10.00 handling fee (This goes
for doctors notes or medical family emergencies only).
Program Cancellations: The Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet minimum
enrollment requirements. If this is the case a cancellation will be decided a week prior to the start date of the program. PRO-
GRAM TIMES AND LOCATIONS MAY BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE due to unforeseen circumstances for any of our programs. When
schools are closed or dismissed early due to inclement weather, all recreation department programs will also be cancelled. Every
effort will be made to notify registrants. Cancellation of programs will be posted on the Recreation Department Website http://
boltonrec.recdesk.com. Bolton Recreation Department and our instructors will make every effort to make-up classes when can-
celled due to inclement weather and/or instructor scheduling. In cases when classes cannot be made up, if the registration was
