School will be dismissed at 1:00 pm each day that week. Information regarding scheduling a conference will be coming home in February. [email protected] Contact us: (360) 807-7215 Mr. Hunt, Principal Mrs. Pohlman, Assistant Principal Family Math Night ESD 113 is offering an online learning opportunity through Zoom to engage young learners in numbers and math through playing a variety of learning games using a Tiny Polka Dot learning deck. If you are able to, you can print the learning deck at home ahead of the virtual event by going to the link below: https://mathforlove.com/2020/05/free-printable-tiny-polka-dot-starter-deck/ Join the class on January 13 from 7:30-8:15 pm by going to the following link: https://www.esd113.org/course/familymathnight/ Since we are unable at this time to offer in-person extracurricular events at school, this might be a good substitute. Check it out! Inclement Weather Plan In an effort to make use of as many instructional days as possible, and to honor the school calendar in which the last day for students is June 11, 2021, the Chehalis School District will make every effort to continue teaching and learning on snow days. In the event of inclement weather, instead of cancelling school, or starting school late, the district will consider designating the day as a distance-learning day for all grades. Since students and staff all have access to district-provided laptops, teaching and learning can take place remotely under most circumstances. Parents, teachers, and students should plan to participate in remote teaching/learning should a weather event occur. Your teacher will be sharing an “Inclement Weather-Work at Home Plan” on Seesaw in the event it is needed. Typically, district personnel test the roads for ice or snow and determine the level of safety for buses, drivers, and/or walkers. A decision is usually made in the early morning around 6:00 am. This information will be shared on our website www.chehalisschools.org - go to the website and click on “Weather Alerts” on the far right side of the main page. The Chehalis School District has partnered with Comcast to provide basic internet at no cost to you if you qualify for their Internet Essentials program. You can contact the Chehalis School District office (360) 807- 7200 and speak with Tara Phillips for assistance with the application process. 2 nd grade Stem challenge – The Balancing Act! Our annual food drive was an immense success thanks to your generosity! Lintott & Smith Elementary students brought in 4,479 lbs. of food to help our community. CALENDAR CHANGE: January 29 is a full day of school. Non-School Days: January 18 (Martin Luther King Day) February 15 (Presidents’ Day)
