Bailey Tann is UMKC graduate currently living and creating in Kansas City, Missouri. She utilizes different aspects of digital imaging to document and reimagine domestic life and concept. Photography is the cornerstone of her creative process, and her work often begins with documentation of concept or space and can be both literal and obscure. You can find her artwork presented in various mediums such as books, photographs, mementos, keepsake boxes, as well as other tangible formats. The work chosen for this issue is pulled from her digital collage work, combining elements from her own photographs as well as other media such as drawing to create a multi-layered composition that documents various moments, ideas, etc. The textures and patterns are pulled directly from photographs, typically of nature, combined with more domestic elements such as furniture, children, house plants.

UMKC students are encouraged to submit work for consideration for the catalog. If you are interested in submitting work to be considered for future issues of the catalog and you are a

current UMKC student, please contact us. Only original artwork will be considered.
