Certified Pool Operator (CPO)

The Certified Pool Operator certification course is designed to provide the basic knowledge, techniques and

skills required to safely operate a pool or spa. The course will follow the NSPF Pool & Spa Operator Handbook

(provided) along with local regulatory codes and is taught by an NSPF certified instructor. Essential

calculations, how to carry out and interpret water tests for safe operation of aquatic facilities, state and

federal regulations and other important topics will be covered. Pass the open book exam and earn your CPO

Microsoft Excel is a program used to present data in a spreadsheet, or a table of rows and columns. Data can

then be sorted, organized or manipulated mathematically using various arithmetic operations and formulas.

Citizenship

The road to becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States can be a challenging and confusing process.

Our knowledgeable and friendly instructors will assist immigrants in improving their English language skills,

understanding residency and citizenship processes, and learning the rights and responsibilities of being

citizens. Students will also study U.S. history and government facts to help them prepare for the naturalization

FREE Massage Therapy Information Session

The massage therapy profession is growing rapidly in response to increasing interest in promoting personal

well-being and healthy living. The Brazosport College program includes the 450 hours of classroom instruction

and 50 hours of internship required for licensing in the State of Texas. The course begins in January and ends

in December. Prospective students are required to attend an information session prior to enrolling in order to

receive complete information about the program, state requirements, costs involved and financial aid options.

Massage Therapy

The massage therapy profession is growing rapidly in response to the public’s increasing interest in promoting

personal well-being and healthy living. This is an intensive, year-long program and includes the 500 hours

required in the State of Texas to become a licensed Massage Therapist. The program is broken into two parts –

part one is classroom lecture and lab, part two is an internship. Once you have successfully completed all

coursework in the lecture, you will enroll in the internship in September (additional fee). If you are interested

En Garde! Join the beginner fencing class and learn basic fencing skills, attack and defense techniques, and

move on to full speed bouting with electronic scoring. A fencing uniform will eventually be required, but the
