Q. Can 1-7/16 X 3-7/16 undersize grade stamp couldbe used on SPS 4 lumber if the under sized productwas qualified as a stand-alone item?
A. If a mill wishes to undersize SPS 4 lumber to clean up glue-spread etc. then theunder-sized product must be qualified as a separate item and stamped asundersized product. The test loads applied to the under-sized lumber must beincreased to the full-sized (i.e. 1-1/2 x 3-1/2) test load.
