PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

It is with incredible delight that we present to you the first issue of Newsletter of Sri Indu

Institute of Pharmacy. This version of the Newsletter reports the critical movements did by

Students, Faculty and Alumni in the space of Teaching and Learning, Research and

Development and Industry Interaction. The staff and students will get more acknowledgment

when the honors/accomplishments they won are promoted through the Newsletter. It would be a

motivation and inspiration for students and staff to scale more up to date statures. I'm certain that

distributing a bulletin of this sort containing the accomplishments of the SRI INDU INSTITUTE

Approvals & Admission

UGC Approval: In its official correspondence dated 3rd April 2019, (UGC) -University Grants Commission under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India had included Sri Indu Institute of Pharmacy, Hyderabad in the list of Colleges prepared under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 under the head “ Non – Government Colleges Teaching upto Master’s Degree”. Admission: During the academic year 2019-20 93% of seats were filled in B.Pharmacy; 85% in Pharm.D.; 100% admissions in Pharm.D. (PB) and 82% seats in M.Pharmacy all branches together.

Results

Our students are performing very well in achieving by achieving good percentage of marks in

end semester examinations. B.Pharmacy students secured more than 85% of pass percentage

overall in all the four years; 98% result was observed in Pharm.D. and more than 75% pass

percentage in M.Pharmacy.

Placements

Passed out Students of M.Pharmacy, B.Pharmacy and Pharm.D. were successfully placed in

several Pharma industry and more than 40% were admitted in various PG Programs nation and

Interantional wide.

Best Oral Presentation Award: Our Senior Faculty Mrs. G. Veena bagged Best Oral Presentation Award at AICTE sponsored International Conference entitled “Current Trends In Pharmacology Research- Preclinical Trials” organized by Bhaskar College of Pharmacy on 3rd

January 2020 Ph.D. Submission: Our senior faculty Mrs. G.Veena has submitted her Ph.D. Dissertation thesis in June 2020. Chairing a Session: Our Academic Director Dr. D. Varun Chaired a Plenary Session at Indian Pharmaceutical Association sponsored “Industry Oriented Faculty Development Programme” organized by Clinosol Research Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad at Sultan-Ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy on 7th December 2019.

Chairing a Session: Our Academic Director Dr.D.Varun Chaired a Plenary Session at AICTE sponsored International Conference entitled “Current Trends In Pharmacology Research- Preclinical Trials” organized by Bhaskar College of Pharmacy on 3rd January 2020 Deliberation at Refresher Course: Our Academic Director Dr.D.Varun deliberated two sessions Lecture on “Exploitation of Lipid Carriers In Formulating Novel Drug Delivery Systems, An Alternative Approach to Routine Research” on 7th December 2019 at UGC sponsored Refresher Course entitled “Drug and Drug Delivery Research: A Recent Advancement” conducted by UGC- Human Resource Development Center, JNTU Hyderabad from 05-12-2019 to 18-12-2019. Nomination by IACP: Our Academic Director Dr.D.Varun was nominated by Indian Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (IACP) under Working Committee for the 2nd Pharmaceutical Sciences Congress-2019 organized on 1st and 2nd November 2019 at Warangal with the Theme “Connecting Pharmaceutical Sciences and Knowledge Advancement”. Nomination at IPC 2017: Our Principal Dr. Mohatasim Billah A was nominated as Member in Scientific Services by Local Organizing Commiitte of 70th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress held at SRM University, Porur, Chennai. Ph.D. Submission: Scholars under the esteemed guidance of Senior Professor Dr. A. Sambasiva Rao , three Research Scholars had attained Ph.D Degress during 2018-19 ACY. R. Kusuma from JNTU- Hyderabad, V.N.L. Sirisha from JNTU-Hyderabad and B. Venkata Radha Krishna from JNTU - Ananthapur Ph.D. Submission: Research Scholar from St.Pauls Pharmacy College was awarded Ph.D on Janurary 31st 2019 from Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pacific Academy of Higher Education and Research, Udaipur, Rajasthan under the guidance of our Academic Director Dr.D.Varun .
