Often these purchase are catalog driven so users can quickly find the items they need and comply with the company's supplier agreements.
The purchases can be routine or infrequent, but in either case, users now expect the same user-friendly interfaces that they experience in their personal online purchasing.

Shopping Cart - Search
SearchEnterprise search - search across all fields in the catalog item. The search attributes are customizable using enterprise search tool.
Fuzzy search can be enabled.
User Settings – change the user default settings such as cost assignment, product category, and delivery information for an order.
Multi-language searches -languages other than the user’s logon language

Users can describe requirements, including the preferred suppliers and attachments.

• SRM NXP Add-on - the business logic and UI related logic
• SAP UI5 Add-on – Javascript libraries to build the interactive pages.
• Gateway – NetWeaver component that connects business users to SAP systems. It provides access to route requests from the SRM UI Add-on to the SRM system.
