Landscaping/Maintenance Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral Phoenix

Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral is seeking a self-motivated individual for the part-time position of Landscaping/Maintenance. THE EMPHASIS WILL BE ON LANDSCAPING, but includes other duties as well. Duties include, but are not limited to: maintain landscaping, assisting with custodial duties and maintenance throughout the Church, offices, and school; assists with parish ministry and event setups; performs other position related tasks deemed necessary and/or as assigned. The position is part-time 20-28 hours per week. Generally Monday through Friday with occasional work on Saturdays and Sundays….and occasional holidays. Minimum Qualifications: Experience with all aspects of landscaping required. Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance desired. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. What is Eucharistic Adoration? Understood simply, Eucharistic Adoration

is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ. In a deeper sense, it involves

"the contemplation of the Mystery of Christ truly present before us".

There are many hours available to commit to an hour of Adoration however those that are currently EMPTY are listed below. HOURS IN URGENT NEED OF ADORERS:

Please consider becoming a part of the Eucharistic Adoration Team. We are in URGENT need of 4 Hourly Captains as well as 1 Division Leader. Hourly Captain Responsibilities: 1. Prayerfully support the adorers in the hour you choose to oversee. 2. Check the sign-in book weekly to make sure the hour is being covered. 3. Call adorers whenever they do not sign in for their hour. 4. Encourage the adorers in their prayer and faith journey. Division Leader Responsibilities: 1. Assists the Coordinator. 2. The Knights of Columbus will be selling poinsettias to decorate around the altar for Christmas. These beautiful red flowers may be purchased for $15 in honor or in memory of a loved one, whose name will be placed on a flag in the pot. If the flowers survive they can be picked up by the purchaser sometime in January. We encourage those interested

to purchase quickly as there is a limited supply.

There is an Advent spirit in the heart of every human person. It is one of longing, of yearning for a fulfillment that somehow lies beyond ourselves; for we long for the coming of the Lord.

St Vincent de Paul was able to serve many happy people, providing them with the food to prepare their Thanksgiving dinner. All this was possible through the many gifts of food and through your financial giving.

Your hearts are big and are very compassionate to those less fortunate.

Now we wait for the coming of our Lord.

We are not meant to journey alone - especially not during such a holy season as Advent.

La Asociación Guadalupana tiene el honor de invitar a la comunidad en la celebración de Nuestra Sonora de Guadalupe. Los días 11 y 12 de diciembre de 2019.

Horario Martes: Novena diciembre 3-11 a las 7:30 p.m. en Catedral Miércoles: 11 de diciembre Vigilia, 8:30p.m. y las mañanitas a la media noche con mariachi. Jueves: 12 de diciembre procesión y rezo del Santo Rosario, a las 6:00p.m. desde el convento a la Catedral. Y a las 7:00 p.m. La Santa Misa. SAN VICENTE DE PAÚL

Hay un espíritu de Adviento en el corazón de cada persona humana. Es uno de anhelo, de anhelo de una realización que de alguna manera yace entre nosotros; porque anhelamos la venida del Señor.
