McClure Elementary: Serve as a classroom or recess

assistant with elementary aged children.

ACLAMO: neighborhood after school and ESL program.

Boys and Girls Club : Tutor, play, and build relationships at a

K-4 afterschool program.

HOMELESSNESS AND POVERTY:

Face to Face Soup Kitchen: Serve meals on Saturday

mornings to Germantown residents.

Broad Street Ministries: Resources for the hungry and those

experiencing homelessness.

Ex-offenders

Sisters Returning Home: Work with women ex-offenders re-

entering society.

DOMESTIC ABUSE

DISABILITY SERVICES AND PROGRAMS

LEVEL: Help level the playing field for all, regardless of

physical, mental or emotional ability.

Special Olympics: Bond through athletics with men and

woman training to compete at Special Olympics events.

SLC Approved Courses

The content or focus of an SLC course

will provide students with basic

knowledge or processes of thinking that will help the

student engage in intelligent and meaningful dialogue

about the issues that affect the communities where we

serve.

SLC Fourth Hour

Fourth hour is a time to ask questions, to talk

about the service experience, and to ask why.

Why people are poor, why children are not at

grade level, or why some people live on the

streets? SLC
