He was saying in essence life is a journey. Steps lead to other steps. I really believe this is true. I look at how God has led us in the past and I have confidence He is leading us and will lead us into the future. We are asked to WALK by FAITH. We won’t ever see the whole path laid out be- fore us. We will see the next few steps. We do this “so FirsT that…” the next thing can oc- cur. That’s life. Taking faith steps which lead us forward into deeper places with God and in God. We don’t ever want to get stuck. It is easy to embrace the familiar and sometimes it is hard to do things we have never done before. One of the things I constantly tell people about this congregation is that you have gotten over the fear of doing things you have never done before. You aren’t STUCK! And I thank God for that. God isn’t finished with us yet. He has plans for us as indi- viduals and as a community of believers. We can trust Him, fully, completely. It takes a lot of faith to say “YES!” to God.
