Ron Baird sharing about the different types of prayer, and providing us with ways we can draw closer to God in our own prayer life. Weekly topics include: • Prayer: An introduction and Prayers of Thanksgiving • Prayers of petition and intercession • Prayers of praise and adoration • Listening prayer • How to pray out loud Small group discussion time at tables will follow Fr. Ron’s presentation, and we’ll close the evening with a brief time of worship using the service of Compline. The five-week Lenten Study Program begins Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 6:15 to 8 p.m., and continues on Tuesdays through March 20. Each evening begins with Annual Meeting Feb. 25 The 2018 Annual Parish Meeting will be Sunday, Feb. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This meeting will be an opportunity to hear from Fr. Ron Baird and members of the Vestry about the state of the parish in 2017, and look ahead to what’s planned for 2017. It’s also an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the 2017 Annual Report, which will be made available to the parish on Sunday, Feb. 18. Ministry leaders are reminded that their individual reports are due next Sunday, Feb. 11. Ministry report forms are available at the Information Desk, or online at standrewspolaris. org. Women’s Bible Study begins new study Feb. 6The Tuesday morning women’s Bible Study group has picked their next study! They will be doing “Soul Keeping” by John Ortberg, which is a DVD series that also has a study guide booklet. The study guide is optional, but many of our women like to have their own copy and usually orderfromplaceslikeAmazonorfind copies at LifeWay bookstores.

The first session of “Soul Keeping” will be this Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 9:30 a.m. The group meets the first and third Tuesdays of the month, weather permitting! Feel free to come to any or all of the sessions and bring a friend! Fr. Shane to meet with youth parents next week Parents of youth in middle and senior high school should check their email this week for information about a meeting with Fr. Shane Tucker, youth and family life pastor, next Sunday, Feb. 11, from 10:15 to 11 a.m. at the church. This will be the beginning of a discussion about understanding “Gen Z” and learning= how you can equip your teens to meet the challenges of the world we live in, and to live the life God has planned for them.

Fr. Ed to lead Adult Forum on living out the will of GodFr. Ed Steele will lead us in an examination of living out the will of God during theAdultForumonSundaysat10:15a.m.,beginningSunday,Feb.18.
