The Most Holy Trinity

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Today we celebrate Holy Trinity Sunday, which comes right after Pentecost, that revealed the great mystery of the Holy Spirit being sent to believers by God the Father and by Jesus Christ. As Jesus promised coming of another Advocate, who would guide the believers to the whole truth in time after his departure, he indicated the great mystery of the Blessed Trinity. Mystery into which we are entrusting ourselves in baptism, invoking the name of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus always pointed to the love of God the Father as the source of all things, and he showed us his own human and divine identity in his life and resurrection, and he clearly indicated to us the presence of the Holy Spirit as a necessary guide and source for the life of the Church and each individual believer. This mystery of Three different Persons in Oneness of God is called mystery of the Blessed Trinity. It is the fullness of God’s revelation, that brings stream of life to the Church and to every believer. If we open ourselves to this mystery, we will be transformed by the love of God revealing itself in the relationship of the Blessed Trinity, that brings this mystery to us in manifestation of life and of salvation. We are invited to the beauty and reality of God’s love and life. We are invited to live eternally with God, contemplating the creation, life and salvation of the universe in the reality of the love of the Blessed Trinity.

This is the circle of life, love and salvation, of which we are made partakers. For those who believe it becomes what Jesus said of himself to Thomas: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” The beauty of this Christian identity of having Jesus as the truth, the way and the life, is so empowering and transforming to the believers. We see it particularly in the lives of the saints, but as well in the lives of ordinary people like you and me, when we decide to follow Jesus. Because: “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” John3,16.

This reality is so sad in today’s times, when people choose violence in place of kindness, choose lies above the truth, choose to inflict death on others instead of bringing life and love. The political emptiness of representing nothing except opposition to the existing order, empty promises, false accusations, fake news and fake portrayal of others, misinformation, misrepresentation for the sake of political narrative. All of it stands so far from who Jesus is, and what Jesus brings to us. We all protest with the family of Gorge Floyd asking for justice, but it doesn’t justify violence and looting and destroying property and hurting others.

But as the churches are bullied by politicians, governors and even Supreme Court, into observing the 10 people rule for the celebration in the churches, when stores never closed, gas stations, 7-Eleven, etc were trusted with taking care of people and churches were denied equal rights, so no wonder the crowds don’t listen to what they say in front of the violence. Why those Supreme Court Judges who silenced the churches into the rule of 10 people for gathering, why don’t they come in front of violent protesters and impose themselves on them as they imposed themselves on the believers in the ruling over Chula Vista Church in San Diego some days ago ?

It is easy to bully believers and people of good will with liberal language and intimidation tactics. Why can’t they use same rhetoric and empty reasoning, that subjected the churches to the pleasure of liberal politicians instead of equal treatment as essential to life entities, to persuade the violent thieves and property destroyers and freedom abusers who hurt others in the name of liberal equality of what sort ??? Why don’t they stop the violence with it ??? No justice - no peace!!!

I wish the politicians, judges, governors lived in the neighborhoods where the violence happens instead of their protected and gated communities with secret service or police watching their homes - there should be equal protection for all or no particular protection for anybody if they are not willing to seek equal treatment to all in all things. If the Churches were to lead and guide people from the pandemic into normal life, we would be already involved in building our communities and our life back, but because we are in the hands of -do nothing politicians- this is why we are in violent revolt over fake news, fake concerns, fake problems; because the real news- the truth is suppressed, true concerns are not addressed, real problems are not resolved. Show me the politicians who solved a single problem without accusations and deceptive blaming of others.

In churches we pray for everyone, we serve everyone, we attend to all, we share what we have with others, we pretend nothing except equal treatment and it is all based on people of good will. Let us be free to take care of our communities. We are first to take care of each other. We are first to observe equal rights for everyone so please give us back those rights !!! Queridas Hermanas y Hermanos,

Hoy celebramos el Domingo de la Santísima Trinidad, que viene justo después de Pentecos-tés, que revelo el gran misterio del Espíritu Santo enviado a los creyentes por Dios el Padre y por Jesucristo. Cuando Jesús prometió la llegada de otro abogado, quien guiaría a los cre-yentes a toda la verdad a tiempo después de su partida, indico el gran misterio de la Santísi-

ma Trinidad. Misterio en el que nos estamos confiando en el bautismo, invocando el nombre de Dios Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. Jesús siempre señalo el amor de Dios Padre como la fuente de todas las cosas, y nos mostro su propia identidad humana y divina en su vida y resurrección, y nos indico claramente la pre-

sencia del Espíritu Santo como guía necesaria y fuente de la vida de la Iglesia y de cada creyente individual. Este misterio de tres

personas diferentes en la unidad de Dios se llama misterio de la Santísima Trinidad. Es la plenitud de la revelación de Dios, lo que trae una fuente de vida a la iglesia y a cada creyente. Si nos abrimos a este misterio, seremos transformados por el amor de Dios que se revela en la relación de la Santísima Trinidad, que nos trae este misterio en manifestación de la vida y de la salvación. Estamos invitados a la belleza y la realidad del amor y la vida de Dios. Estamos invitados a vivir eternamente con Dios, contemplando la creación, la vida y la salvación del universo en la realidad del amor de la Santísima Trinidad.

Este es el circulo de la vida, el amor y la salvación, del cual somos participantes. Para aquellos que creen que se convierte en lo que Jesús dijo de si mismo a Tomas: “Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida. Nadie viene al Padre excepto a través de mi”. La belleza de esta identidad cristiana de tener a Jesus como la verdad, el camino y la vida es tan poderosa y transformadora para los creyentes. Lo lloramos particularmente en la vida de los santos, pero también en la vida de la gente común como ustedes y yo

cuando decidimos seguir a Jesús. Porque: Dio amo tanto al mundo que dio a su único hijo, Para que todos los que creen en el no perezcan Pero tengan tener vida eterna”. Juan 3,16 Esta realidad es tan triste en los tiempos de hoy, cuando las personas eligen la violencia en lugar de la amabilidad, eligen mentiras

por encima de la verdad, eligen infligir la muerte a otros en lugar de traer vida y amor. El vacío político de no representar nada mas que oposición al orden existente, promesas vacías, acusaciones falsas, noticias falsas, y retratos falsos de otros, informaciones erró-neas, tergiversación por el bien de la narrativa política. Todo esta muy lejos de quien es Jesús y de lo que Jesús nos trae. Todos protestamos con la familia de George Floyd pidiendo justicia, pero no justifica la violencia, los saqueo y la destrucción de la propiedad y el daño a los demás.

Pero a medida que los políticos, los gobernadores e incluso la Corte Suprema intimidan a las Iglesias para que observen la regla de10 personas solamente en la celebración dentro de las iglesias, cuando las tiendas nunca cerraron, las estaciones de servicio, 7-Eleven, etc, se encargaron de cuidar a las personas y a las iglesias se les negaron los mismos derechos, así que no es de extrañar que las multitudes no escuche lo que dicen frente a la violencia. ¿Por qué esos jueces de la Corte Suprema que silenciaron a las iglesias

Para imponer la regulación de 10 personas solamente, porque no se presentan frente a los manifestantes violentos y se imponen a ellos como se impusieron a los creyentes en el fallo sobre la Iglesia en Chula Vista en San Diego haces unos días? Es fácil intimidar a creyentes y personas de buena voluntad con lenguaje liberal y tácticas de intimidación. ¿Por qué no pueden usar la misma retorica y razonamiento vacío, que sometido a las iglesias al placer de los políticos liberales en lugar de un trato igualitario como esencial para las entidades de la vida, para persuadir a los ladrones violentos y destructores de propiedades y

abusadores de la libertad que hieren a otros en nombre de otros? ¿Igualdad liberal de que tipo? ¿Por qué no detienen la violencia con eso? ¡!!Sin justicia, no hay paz!!! Ojala los políticos, jueces gobernadores vivieran en los barrios donde ocurre la violencia en lugar de sus comunidades protegidas y cerrada con el servicio secreto o la policía vigilando sus hogares: debería haber igual protección para todos o ninguna protección

particular para nadie si no están dispuestos a buscar el mismo trato para todos en todas las cosas En las Iglesias si dirigiéramos y guiáramos a las personas de la pandemia a la vida normal, ya estaríamos involucrados en la construcción de nuestras comunidades y nuestra vida de regreso, pero debido a que estamos en manos de políticos que no hacen nada es por eso que estamos en una revuelta violenta sobre noticias falsas, preocupaciones falsas, problemas falsos; porque las

noticias verdaderas: la verdad se supone, las preocupaciones verdaderas no se abordan, los problemas reales no se resuelven. Muéstrame a los políticos que resolvieron un solo problema sin acusaciones y culpas engañosas de otros. En la Iglesias oramos por todos, servimos a todos, atendemos a todos, compartimos lo que tenemos con los demás, no pretendemos nada excepto un trato igual y todo se basa en personas de buena voluntad. Seamos libres de cuidar nuestras comunidades. Somos los primeros en cuidarnos el uno al otro. Somos los primeros en observar la igualdad de derechos para todos, ¡asi que devuélvannos esos

ACTE DE COMMUNION SPIRITUELLE

« Seigneur Jésus, je crois fermement que Tu es présent dans le Saint Sacrement de l’Eucharistie. Je T’aime plus que tout et je Te désire de toute mon âme.

« Après toi languit ma chair comme une terre assoiffée » (psaume 62)

Je voudrais Te recevoir aujourd’hui avec tout l’amour de la Vierge Marie, avec la joie et la ferveur des saints.

Puisque je suis empêché de Te recevoir sacramentellement, viens au moins

spirituellement visiter mon âme.

Qu’est-ce que la Trinité ?

Le terme (trinité) sert à désigner la doctrine chrétienne selon laquelle Dieu existe en tant qu’unité de trois personnes distinctes, Père, Fils et Saint-

Esprit. Chacune de ces personnes est distincte des autres, et pourtant chacune

a la même essence que les autres. En d’autres termes, chacune est pleinement divine par nature, mais aucune n’est la Trinité à elle seule. Chacune fait

preuve de volonté, d’amour et parle en disant (Je) et (Tu). Le Père est une personne différente du Fils, qui est lui-même une personne différente du

Saint-Esprit, qui est lui-même une personne différente du Père. Chaque personne est divine, pourtant il n’y a pas trois dieux mais un seul Dieu. Il existe trois subsistances ou personnes individuelles. Le mot (subsistance) désigne quelque chose qui existe réellement. Le mot (personne) désigne

l’individualité et la conscience de soi. Trois

d’entre elles forment la Trinité, même si (personne) est devenu le terme le plus utilisé pour décrire les aspects individuels de Dieu que sont le Père, le Fils et le Saint-Esprit.

La doctrine de la Trinité implique un mono-théisme strict selon lequel un être connu sous le nom de Dieu existe de lui-même dans tout

l’univers et ne change jamais (Ésaïe 43 :10 ; 44 :6,8). Il est donc important de souligner

que la doctrine de la Trinité n’est pas polythéiste comme l’affirment certains de ses

détracteurs. Par définition, le trinitarianisme est monothéiste. Ceux qui affirment qu’il est

polythéiste démontrent un manque de compréhension de ce dont il s’agit vraiment.

St. Anne’s Pantry continues to give and give every Thursday ONLY

From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00p.m. on the side of the Pastoral Center.

Last Thursday, May 28th we help 238 Families, which breaks down to 530 children, 599 adults, 77 Seniors, all total 1206 individuals.

The food comes in the front door, and goes right out the side door. The numbers are overwhelming, but because of good people, who donated food daily, donate their hard earned money, some give us their stimulus checks or donate gift cards and some giving their time and talent delivering to the sick and

homebound, Our light continues to shine in all we say and do.

But we cannot continue without HELP! We need food to share with those less fortunate, we need money to go buy cases of rice and beans, we most especially need your prayers to keep this up. The people of

Brentwood, Bay Shore and Islip are depending on us now only once a week to open that side door and give them hope.

We keep giving and giving and asking nothing in return. WE ARE BRENTWOOD STRONG, ST. ANNE'S AT IT’S BEST. Thank you, please don't stop giving, we surely need it for them, not us.

El lunes después de Pentecostés hemos celebramos en la Iglesia a la Virgen María como Madre de la Iglesia. Anterior-

mente, esta fiesta litúrgica fue del tipo opcional, pero desde el año pasado, el Papa Francisco decretó fuera incluida obligatoriamente en el Calendario. Con la Santísima Trinidad retomamos el Tiempo Ordinario (10a semana) , el cual,

culminará este año el 22 de noviembre con la Solemnidad de Jesucristo, Rey del Universo (34a semana). El término “ordinario” no tiene ninguna connotación que indique los días y las semanas tengan menos importancia que las anteriores, todo lo contrario, desde el primer día hasta el final están llenos de fiestas y referencias a la piedad y a la fe de la Iglesia. Habría que resaltar también, que de la misma manera que el mes de mayo fue intensamente mariano, el

mes de junio es “intensamente jesuánico”.

El dogma de la Santísima Trinidad, no es algo que podamos entender simplemente leyendo un Decreto o el Catecismo de la Iglesia, por una explicación de un Experto o por la más bella homilía que el Cura pueda decir, es más bien algo

que hay que vivir y experimentar, la clarificación de sobre una verdad de fe viene de la oración y de la contemplación, alguien dijo que “la mejor teología es la que se hace de rodillas”.

Una piadosa explicación acerca de la Trinidad. Cuentan que San Agustín se paseaba por la playa reflexionando sobre el tema, en un momento el Santo se detuvo ante la escena de un pequeño niño:

S. Agustín: ¿Qué intentas hacer depositando agua en ese agujero en la arena? El “niño”: Trasladar la inmensidad del mar al mismo. S. Agustín: ¡Eso es algo imposible! El “niño”: También lo es tu pretensión de querer entender la inmensidad del Dios Uno y Trino en tu cabeza (‘hueca’...no, el niño no pudo decir esto ‘jajaja’) Y entonces, el “niño” desapareció de su presencia. Muchas veces, gastamos tiempo y energías en cosas que, si bien son importantes, hacen que nos descuidemos de otras muchas cosas también necesarias como la caridad, la familia, el tra-bajo, el bien común.
