Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord
April 1, 2018
PROCLAIM THE RISEN CHRIST
On Easter morning everything—the spring weather,
the flowers, birds and butterflies, the people around us in
their finery, the beautiful liturgy and music—everything
seems to bear witness that Jesus Christ is risen today! Like
the eyewitness accounts in today’s scriptures, the glorious
and joyful life all around us helps us to believe the good
news of the Resurrection and sing “Alleluia!” In the scrip-
tures today we hear from Peter and Paul and John. All three
speak with conviction about witnessing the resurrected
Christ. John’s Gospel account includes Mary of Magdala,
who also was privileged to witness the Resurrection and
tell others the good news. On this glorious Easter Sunday
can we ourselves give eyewitness accounts that Jesus
Christ is risen today, alive and active in our lives?

PRAYER CHAIN REQUESTS
We want to remind people
to feel free to use the par-
ish prayer lines when
needs arise in your family
in difficult times of testing and trial. Email
[email protected] or call Rita Bur-
ges at 364-6766. Contacts are listed on the
back of the weekly church bulletin. You
must first have the permission of the patient
or of a close family member who can speak
for that person in need; you may use either
their full name OR no name at all. It is also
hoped that if the prayer line is being used
anonymously, the caller inform our Pastor
Father Tony so he can come to anoint or ad-
minister the Sacrament of Healing when
needed and to know who among the
flock to keep in his daily prayer. Thank you
and May God Bless you!
From the desk of our pastor, Father Tony Neusch.

Drop, drop, slow tears
Phineas Fletcher 1582-1650
Drop, drop, slow tears,
and bathe those beauteous feet,
which brought from heaven
the news and Prince of Peace.
Cease not, wet eyes,
his mercies to entreat;
to cry for vengeance
sin doth never cease.
In your deep floods
drown all my faults and fears;
nor let his eye
see sin, but through my tears.
