First Reading: Acts of the Apostles 2:14a, 36–41
Peter proclaimed that only in the name of Jesus Christ are sins
forgiven and the Holy Spirit received.
Second Reading: 1 Peter 2:20b–25
Jesus suffered for the sins of all people, and by his death on the
cross, all can live in accord with God’s will. People who strayed
like sheep “have now returned to the shepherd and guardian of
your souls.”
Gospel: John 10:1–10
Jesus said, “I am the gate for the sheep.” He declared that
whoever enters through him will be saved because he came that
others may have life and have the fullness of life.

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
