THE MASS OPENED UP Bishop Olson has asked his priests to explain what we do as a Church during the celebration of the Mass. To assist with this, Fr. Gary continues his series entitled: THE MASS OPENED UP. This is formerly the class titled: The General Instruction of the Roman Missal or GIRM. This is a 4 part series to explain how a priest is to lead the people in wor-ship during the Mass. We will look at the elements and parts of the Mass along with how they are linked to each other, the heavenly Liturgy, and the sacrifice on the cross. The classes are sequential. Classes are Friday’s, Sept. 8 –Sept. 29 at 7 PM in the Parish Hall.

SEAS GRIEF MINISTRY: Few things affect us so deeply as human suffering. If you have recently suffered the death of a loved one, you are invited to attend a Faith based sem-inar that is offered by the SEAS Grief Support Ministry. The seminar is led by trained facilitators who will walk with you as you share your loss in a safe emotional and spiritual en-vironment. The seminar offers educational materials, con-solation and support to help you move through the grief process. The seven week seminar begins on Tuesday, Oct.3 at 7 PM. Please call Joan Allen at 720-290-9242 for more information. POPE FRANCIS’ ENCYCLICAL LAUDATO SI: Are you interested in learning more about our responsibility to care for the environment? Fr. Michael and Fr. John Robert Skeldon (Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick’s) will lead the 3 week sequential talks. Evening and morning options are available. Evening option: Tuesday’s, 7-8 PM, Aug. 29, Sept. 5, Sept 12 in the Activity Center (Gym). Morn-ing option: Wednesday’s, 10-11 AM, Aug. 30, Sept. 6, Sept. 13 in the PCC Auditorium. Participants are en-couraged to obtain a copy of Laudato Si and to begin read-ing. Adults, adolescents, families or anyone interested in learning more about Church teaching on this important top-ic are invited to attend.
