FROM THE DESK OF FR. FALLON
Hi Everyone! Thanks for being a part of our community. We as the Body of Christ need one another to grow closer to the Lord. So put the bulletin down and greet someone you've never met! I really enjoy this Sunday's Gospel. It reminds me of myself: I've got weeds and wheat, some good traits and bad vices. But with the Master of the Harvest I can sift out the bad and keep the good. Slowly, ever so slowly! What are your weeds? For most of us it's easy to recognize. If not, others can help! How are we addressing these weeds? Are we bringing them to the Lord in prayer? Are we beating back the biggest weed of all--our pride--from choking out the good grain the Lord has sown? And what is the wheat in your life? What have you been able to receive and nourish with God, virtues that provide sustenance for others? Pray hard about it and be grateful. I think oftentimes this is much harder to notice than our vices. We're pretty hard on ourselves a lot of the times. Let's recognize the goodness within us and thank God for all His help! Thank you for your help & prayers for the Missionary Plan of Cooperation of the Archdiocese and the Community of St. Paul last weekend. Libanesa spoke about the outreach they do and how they hope to sow good seed with Jesus' help. Extra envelopes are around church--or you can write "Community of St. Paul" on a donation and place in the basket. We're all missionaries! Keep sowing good seed! Peace and love to you! Fr. Fallon
