St. John 5k Sunset Run/Walk Saturday, May 12th, 5:30 PM
The Sunset Run originated as the first evening race at dusk in the Pensacola area and is now ranked in the top ten “Best Gulf Coast Races”! The 5K course is located in the Navy Point com-munity along the shoreline of Bayou Grande, with the Start and Finish lines at St. John School (325 S. Navy Blvd., one half mile from the NAS main gate). Registrants will receive a commemo-rative race shirt while supplies last. Post-race festivities include live music with Fr. Licari and friends on stage, inflatable jumpers and slides, race awards, and authentic Hispanic food (prepared by the St. John Hispanic Ministry members). If you like to run, walk, bounce, dance, or eat, you can enjoy it all at the Sunset Run!

SUNSET RUN PARKING REMINDER!
Regarding Sunset Run parking and the 4:00 PM Mass. The Church/School parking lot will be closed to traffic. Parking for the 4:00 Mass will be available on Palmetto Street (on the north side of the Church), or at Warrington Ol-ive Baptist Church parking lot (Winthrop and Valencia Streets). Please look for the Knights of Columbus from St. John’s for traffic direc-tions and parking assistance.
STEP UP PROGRAMS Our Catholic Schools accept Step Up and Gardiner scholarships, which can be applied for through an online application. Applications are now open for both new and renewal fami-lies for the 2018-19 school year. This means entire applications must be completed, includ-ing the submission of all documentation. While they still give first priority to serving the lowest income bracket, Step Up hopes to award students of higher income families who qualify for the 88% scholarship. Families could be eligible for partial scholarship funding with income even as high as 260% of the feder-al poverty level. Application link: https://ptdiocese.org/scholarships
