The Fourth Cup – Monday, July 8, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The meeting will conclude with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament in the Church.
The Ten Commandments – Sean McVeigh is running an 8-week series on the Ten Commandments on Sundays beginning July 14 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM. You are encouraged to bring your Bible and a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church if you have them.

BUILDING THE CHURCH IN MISSION LAND, USA
The work of the GLENMARY HOME MISSIONERS is the subject of the Mission Awareness presentation at St. Joseph on July 20 - 21. Brother Craig Digmann of the Glenmary Home Missioners will speak at our Masses, telling us about the missionary work his Society is doing in serving the spiritual and material needs of people right here in the United States! This collection for Glenmary Home Missioners marks the annual Mission Awareness presentation promoted by the Archdiocesan Society for the Propagation of the Faith.
Hundreds of U.S. counties do not have a resident priest, and in many of these counties the Catholic Church is not present. That means no celebration of the Eucharist, no sacraments, not even a parish community in which to find fellowship and support. Glenmary Home Missioners are working hard to fill the void—to bring the love of Jesus and His Church to the home missions in Appalachia and the South.
This is a wonderful opportunity for us to hear of the Glenmary apostolate in Appalachia and the South and to offer our prayers and financial support for their important ministry in the Church. Please be generous.

Being available during the event via phone or text for questions. Event managers do not need to stay at the church for the duration of the event.
At the end of the event, inspect the church hall to ensure it is cleaned and in proper order and lock up the church.
Church hall events are limited to 5 hours in duration. This position will pay $35 per event to the Event Manager. If you are interested in learning more about this new position, please contact Jake Weaver via email at: [email protected].
Words of Gratitude
At times our own light goes out and it is
rekindled by a spark from another person.
Each of us has a cause to think with a deep
gratitude of those who have lighted the
flame within us. I therefore have the
singular honour to express my sincere
gratitude to Fr. Dave, Parish Staff, and all
Parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church-
Marion, for your love, prayers, care,
concern and generosity to me. May the love
of God that has been poured into your
hearts through the Holy Spirit guide you in
all your undertaking. Thank you and God
bless you.

One Priest Parish Mass Schedule—As we move this week to a one priest parish
with the departure of Fr. Mark, here’s some important information for you to
know. Effective July 9th:
1. The Sunday Mass schedule will remain the same.
2. Regarding weekdays, there will be no Monday morning Mass. Eucharistic Adoration will
continue as usual. The rest of the current weekday Mass schedule will remain the same.
3. If I cannot have weekday Mass, a sign will be placed on the front door of the church at the
canopy indicating that Mass has been cancelled for that day.
4. When I am on vacation, absent due to an archdiocesan event or for any other professional
reason, the weekday Masses will be cancelled during my absence.
5. Currently, I do not plan to cancel a weekday Mass if there is a funeral on the same
day. As time goes by, I will reassess this policy to determine if it is feasible given my other
ministerial commitments.
There will likely be more announcements regarding the one priest parish. Please consult the bulletin
frequently as the transition continues.
