St. Kilian Parish is a Catholic community of faith responding to the call of Jesus Christ through the proclamation of Scripture, the celebration of Eucharist, and in living the sacramental life of the Church. We are committed to responding to each other through communities and ministries of faith and love, addressing our spiritual, social and educational needs. We believe that each of us is called to be a supportive, compassionate, and caring Christian witness in Mission Viejo, the Diocese of Orange and in the world.

Annual Fund Raising Drive To Support the
Intellectually Disabled
THIS weekend - July 15 & 16, 2017
The Intellectual Disabilities Fund Drive is one of the most recognized activities that the Knights of Columbus participate in. The funds generated from this drive are used to support local programs which help people with special learning needs.
Your support is greatly appreciated.
From Sister Paula-Jean Tupa:
Sister Paula-Jane Tupa, who has worshipped at St. Kilian since the days of Msgr. Hughes, is moving, not “just escaping.” The School Sisters of St. Francis’s superiors are asking Sister Paula-Jane to move because they don’t want her to have to live alone.
On July 19, Sister Paula-Jane will relocate to : #603 1545 So Layton Blvd. Milwaukee, WI 53215
When in the area, drop in!
Sister Paula-Jane Tupa, MA
Teacher and diagnostician who has a long history of giving children and adults with learning disabilities hope for the future.

BACKYARD THEOLOGY/SUMMER FELLOWSHIP 2017 July 18 and 25
BOUNTIFUL POTLUCK AND FELLOWSHIP GATHERING 6pm DINNER 6:30pm SPEAKER 7:30-8:30pm
July 18 – SPEAKER: Deacon Dominick Peloso TOPIC: The Power of Forgiveness
Deacon Dominick comes to us from Nativity Church in Menlo Park. He spent 10 years studying for the priesthood and has 30 graduate units of Catholic
theology. He worked in the Menlo Park police department for 31 years, retiring in 2001 as Assistant Chief, and has been a Permanent Deacon in his home parish since 1999. He will be speaking on The Power of Forgiveness.
While giving numerous examples of the beauty and power of forgiveness, he will point out how necessary it is to forgive so as to grow in happiness, enjoy
others, and get closer to Christ. Unforgiveness is an anchor so many are carrying around while wondering when life will get better. Forgiveness heals
the wounds, even those unseen or unsuspected.
July 25 – SPEAKERS: Father Angelos Sebastian and Father Tuan Pham TOPIC: Getting to Know Our New Clergy
Father Angelos Sebastian and Father Tuan Pham will speak about their
backgrounds, how they chose to become priests, and a give us some insight into their past activities.
KILIAN KIDS CLUB is a program for the children whose parents attend Backyard Theology.
