Have you ever put a bucket

under a leaky pipe and been

surprised at the amount of water

that accumulated, drop by drop? Each small drop

contributed to the larger whole. This is how

stewardship works. The good works - no matter how

seemingly insignificant - of Christian stewards

everywhere - add up to build the Kingdom of God.

NEWS FROM THE CHRISTIAN WOMEN GROUP

The Christian Women would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to those of the Parish that donated, baked, and bought items for this year’s bread sale. Through your generosity, we were able to raise $272.00! Proceeds will be given to the St. Lawrence Scholarship fund to be put towards the two scholarships given out this year to deserving seniors. Our spring salad supper was a huge success. Thanks to Barb Panzer for playing the piano for our sing-a-long. We enjoyed finding out more about our Parish by playing St. Lawrence trivia. Salads were wonderful and we had a great evening. Thanks to our out-going president, Kathy Dricken and our out-going treasurer, Joanne Duffek. Thanks to them for all their hard work and contribution to our organization. The new officers that will be sworn in at the September meeting will be Kim Ehrensberger-president, Elaine Strupp-vice president, Denise Olszewski-treasurer and Sue Kedinger remaining as secretary. Have a great summer and remember to volunteer over the summer. God bless!
