Pentecost Sunday:
St. Paul reminds us today that all our gifts have their source in the Holy Spirit and that those gifts are given “for the common good.” What gifts are mine to share?
Pentecostés:
San Pablo nos recuerda hoy que todos nuestros dones tienen su fuente en el Espíritu Santo, y que esos dones son dados “para el bien común.” ¿Cuáles dones son míos para compartir?

R.C.I.A. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Pentecost Sunday celebrates the day that Jesus visited with his disciples for the last time on Earth. He lets the disciples know that the Holy Spirit will be the Advocate that the Father will send to them in Jesus’ Name; “who will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you”. This message is to tell us that He has sent the Holy Spirit to us to give us strength to do His will, and to go out and proclaim His Word. It is the Holy Spirit that energizes us in our faith. Pentecost is also the official completion of this year’s RCIA classes. It is the time when the RCIA team and Sponsors send forth our new Catholics to begin their new lives in our Faith Community. To finish off the year, we will be celebrating with a wonderful Agape Dinner this Tuesday to share memories and fellowship.
WE CONGRATULATE OUR PARTICIPANTS WHO RECEIVED THEIR CONFIRMATION LAST WEEKEND:
Rosario Beltran Cecilia Del Cid Joey Groff Manuel Mariaca Mariela Mariaca Lisa Mejia Branco Ortega Elizabeth Rengifo Joe Silvas Salena Rodriguez Jesse Trevino III Edgardo Troche Martha Valladares
Thanks to the RCIA team, to the dedicated sponsors who so willingly mentored their participants and the St. Luke Faith Formation team: Gloria Clayton, Fr. Jim, Fr. Jesus, our Deacons and our speakers for all their help this year. If you are interested in learning more about RCIA, please call The Faith Formation Office at 433-2777 ext. 138 or Martin Schott at 521-9079.
New classes will begin in September.
GUADALUPANO’S FATHER’S DAY ROSARY
Please join the Guadalupanos on our First Friday Rosary, June 1, at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph Room, as we honor all fathers. Let us come together to pray the most beautiful Marian prayers that depict the Biblical life of Jesus. Pope John Paul II called the Rosary a “compendium of the Gospel message” in his Apostolic Letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae, published Oct. 16, 2002. The 5 Mysteries of Light, or the Luminous Mysteries, were added to the traditional Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries with the publication of this Apostolic Letter. For further information, contact Janie Vargas at 735-8282 or Edelia Martinez at 845-7935.
FIRST SATURDAY ROSARY-MAKING
We invite our parish community to join us on the first Saturday of each month in the St. Joseph Room from 1-4 p.m. to help with our Rosary-Making Ministry. The rosaries that are made are given out to our military and organizations in our parish community upon request and availability. Thank you for your support.
For more information, please call Albert Eisch at 508-1321.
