The Devotion of the Seven Sorrows and Joys of Saint Joseph
There is a devotion called the Seven Sundays of Saint Joseph. This devotion is based on the Seven Joys and Sorrows of Saint Joseph commemorating, One Sorrow and One Joy, each Sunday for Seven Sundays in a row. Most people choose the Seven Sundays preceding the day of March 19th. During this Holy Year, the Devotion of the Seven Sorrows and Joys of Saint Joseph is a prayerful opportunity to “help us find out what God is telling us through the simple life of Mary’s husband.” (Saint Josemaria Escriva; Christ is Passing By, no. 39). In the year 2021, the First Sunday begins on January 31st. The origin of the devotion is related to a ship wreak off the cost of Holland. Two Franciscan monks clung to a plank for two days and were miraculously rescued by a saintly man who brought them to shore, said, “I am Joseph, and I desire you to honor my seven sorrows and joys.” See the bulletin insert for a suggested devotional prayer format.

Our Parish
Serving God’s Family Through the Sacraments Eucharist: From the beginning, the Church has been faithful to the Lord’s command. Acts 2:42-46, tell us the people gathered for teaching and fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayers. St Justin wrote to the emperor in the year 155 explaining what the Christians did and the church today follows this same fundamental structure which has been preserved throughout the centuries. Proclamation of the Word, thanksgiving to God for all His benefits, consecration of bread and wine, and receiving the Lord’s body and blood. (CC1342, 1345, 1346 and 1408) Honoring Marriage Day This event will be held at the Cathedral of Saint Mary in Saint Cloud at 1:00pm for couples celebrating their 5th, 25th, 40th, 50th, 60th or 60 plus anniversaries. If you are interested please complete the form and return at the Parish Office before January 29th.
Bulletin There is room for two ads in the bulletin! The cost is $200.00, for the whole year, for more information contact the Parish Office at 320-589-3003. Special Thanks The Liturgy Committee would like to thank everyone who came to take down the Christmas decoration. Your time and effort helped return the church to Ordinary Time.

Our diocesan ministries are walking with you during these challenging times as our staff continues to reach out to parishes and advance ministries in new and creative ways. Our diocesan website has updates, spiritual resources and prayers at: www.stcdio.org. Stewardship Stewardship as a Way of life: “Jesus turned and saw them following him and said to them, What are you looking for?” - John 1:38 What are you looking for? Are you wasting your time looking for the material comforts of the world? Or is your heart longing for something deeper that can only be found by spending time with God? Take time each day in silence and ask the Lord what it is that He wants you to do. January 22– March For Life Due to current health concerns, the Diocese of St. Cloud will not be coordinating buses to St. Paul. The Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis is hosting a March for Life Youth & Family Conference from 9:00am-5:00pm. Details can be found at: http://www.archspm.org/march-for-life-youth-family-conference/. January 22– Retrouvaille As a peer ministry of couples helping other couples who are living in hurting marriages, the Retrouvaille program focuses on teaching couples communications skills that can help them on their differences. For more information, visit www.helpourmarriage.org. February 27– Catholic Men’s Conference Decisions have not been finalized for this event.
