The Missionary Cooperative Plan
Is a diocesan program promoting awareness of missions worldwide
in parishes throughout the Diocese Representatives of missionary
congregations of men and women mission dioceses lay mission
groups affiliated with missionary orders societies of apostolic life
are invited to speak at the parishes to inform the faithful of the Life
of the Universal Church and to gather financial support
Next Sunday April 22 we will welcome a representative of the
Congregation of the Salvatorian Fathers (Society of Divine Sav-
ior) Fr Thaddeus Tabak SDS who comes to provide some infor-
mation on their apostolates and to ask for spiritual and monetary
support
Fr Thaddeus was ordained in Poland in 1977 While working in
many places some time ago he was also privileged to work in the
Diocese of Austin either as a visiting priest ministering to Polish
Solidarity immigrants (it was under Bishop Harris) or for the next
10 years working in the parishes of St Louis in Austin and in Rose-
bud and Burlington in the Temple Deanery
He was also appointed a Regional Superior of Polish Salvatorian
Fathers in the United States and presently he is ministering as a
local superior of the Salvatorian Fathers in Texas and as a Pastor of
Our Lady of Sorrows in San Antonio Texas Please keep him in our
prayers as he promises to pray for us
