These carvings are made by the Christians of Bethlehem who use them as their source of income. These brothers and sisters of ours are enduring hardships at this moment because of the volatile situation in their home country. Christians in the Holy Land used to be more than 37% of the population. There is less than 1% now because of the situation. As Christians for faith, it is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land. YOU can support them by purchasing some of these beautiful carvings after Mass. Christmas with the Parish Priests -- will take place on Sunday, December 23rd in the All Purpose Room, from 7-9 p.m. All are invited; mark your calendars! Parish Office Christmas Hours -- please note that the parish office will be closed December 24-26, with half-days on December 27-28. 2019 Calendars -- will be available after Christmas. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BAD WEATHER/CHURCH CLOSINGS

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Bad Weather/Church Closings -- If it’s slippery and dan-gerous, or if there’s an abundance of snow, USE COM-MON SENSE. Don’t try to come to Mass. If the Fairfax County Schools system delays or cancels school due to weather, there will be no 8:30 a.m. Mass. Fairfax County Schools, for congruous purposes, is simply an efficient means to follow. If the U.S. Government shuts down be-cause of bad weather, we’ll do our best to maintain the Noon schedule because snow removal work should be well underway by that time – but there are no guarantees. For the safety of those shoveling and plowing the snow, gates will be closed and the entrances will be blocked by cones. (Please do not drive around the cones.) You can receive email notices -- from Fairfax County Schools by signing up via this link: https://publ ic .govdel ivery .com/accounts /VAEDUFCPS/subscriber/new (or use the internet search engine: “Fairfax County Schools closings”). U.S. Government closings be-cause of the weather, of course, are pretty big deals and news is easily accessible from television reports.
