We encourage you to:❖ Discuss with your child/children the student responsibilities for remote learning.❖ Support your child/children to attempt the task before asking for assistance.❖ Develop family expectations for screen time, shared work spaces, using parental security controls

and boundaries for social media use.❖ Ask your child questions to help them think about next steps e.g. Have you worked through today’s

tasks? What time do you have a Google Meeting?❖ Ensure your child only engages in audio and video classes from an open, quiet and appropriate

space outside of his/her bedroom.❖ Aim to minimise background disruptions e.g. household members moving around in the background.❖ Support your child to check that his/her video and audio work correctly – it is good to use a

microphone headset if you have one.
