22 September 2017
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Term 3 is coming to an end very fast and I believe a long weekend is exactly what we all need right about now.
We hope to see many of you at our very first Colour Splash and Sleepover tonight. The weather is also changing
now and it is turning into an absolutely perfect day. If you are unable to spend the night, you may even just come
and have fun with us for the evening.
Please note that all Primary School pupils should please wear their WINTER SCHOOL UNIFORMS on Tuesday, 26
September for the annual photo day, and the SUMMER SPORT UNIFORM on
Wednesday, 27 September 2017.
I do not normally mention birthdays in my letter, but I do believe this one deserves
a special mention. Our receptionist, Mrs Keating, turned 75 on Thursday. I also
know that it is very impolite to mention a lady’s age, but Carol is such an inspiration
to all of us at school, and has more energy than most people I know, so Carol,
thank you for everything you do for us as St Patrick’s family. You have a special
place in our hearts. Wishing you a year of amazing moments and reasons to smile.
Please remember to register on our Edupac Parents’ Portal. This allows you access
to your child’s marks on a secure internet based platform. Please allow for one
week from date of assessment for marks to reflect. The step-by-step Login Help
Guide is available at the end of this WIS.
I will once again be available to chat over a cup of coffee on Wednesday, 27 September 2017 from 06h30 –
08h00. The mobile coffee shop, Coffee Café for any Occasion, will be selling freshly brewed coffee in Cornwall
Street (opposite the Admin building). Hope to see you there!
Happy New Year to our Board of Governors Chairman, Mr Horwitz, as well as all the other Jewish families related
to our school.
The 2018 text books and stationery lists will be made available by the end of next week.
Best wishes to our Grade 12 drama pupils who will be doing their practical IEB exam next week Thursday.
There will be NO extra murals on Thursday, 28 September 2017.
There will not be a PTA meeting for the remainder of the school term.
Yours sincerely,
Jacques Tredoux
