It wouldn’t be November at TreeHouse without preparing for our annual Thanksgiving Feast. We have been busy making costumes of choice, representing those

who first sat down at the original feast!

UPCOMING SALT (4th-6th grade youth) EVENTS

We don’t have an ‘official’ event in De-

cember because it is such a crazy time of

year but there are LOTS of activities going

on around St. Paul’s that this age group

can participate in. Hope to see you at the

All Church AdventFest on Sunday, December 13th!

Saturday, January 9th: We will meet at 9 a.m. to go Ice

Skating at the outdoor skating rink in For-

est Park (Steinberg) from10-noon. We will

have lunch there together at noon at the

Snowflake Café (menu on-line). It is $7 to

skate, $5 for skate rentals and about $10

for food.

Friends are always welcome but we need to know ahead

of time too!

Middle School Youth Group meets (most) Sundays at

5:30 p.m. for a meal together fol-

lowed by games, group time, God

time and goofiness. ALL 7th & 8th

graders are welcome! There will be NO YOUTH GROUP

on Sundays Dec. 13th (All church Advent Fest), 20th or

27th because of the holidays. We ARE meeting on De-

cember 6th to make our Gingerbread houses!!!! We

will not be having Confirmation on Sunday, January

3rd but we WILL be having youth group!

Confirmation News

Several members of the Confirmation Class participated in the Conference

Middle School Retreat @ Camp MoVal on Nov. 20-21.

A BIG thank you to Lynn & Colleen Schmittgens, Joyce Hoeing & the Francis family for providing and sharing meals with us in the month of No-

vember. The Confirmation Class will again this year be cre-

ating one-of-a-kind gingerbread houses. The houses will be up for silent auction on Sunday, Dec. 13th. Proceeds from the auction will be to

Lydia’s House.

The Sr. High Youth Group will be ‘selling’

Charlie Brown Trees during the holidays.

Trees will be available in the Narthex

starting Sunday, Nov. 29th. We are asking

for a donation for each tree to help us raise funds for

our yearly mission trips and overseas trip in 2016.

Advent Fest/Children’s Christmas Program

This year we will be holding an ALL CHURCH Advent Fest

(followed by a light meal and Children’s Christmas Pro-

gram) on Sunday, December 13th at 2:30 p.m. We are

looking for people to work craft ta-

bles. We can provide the craft or you

can let us know what you plan on do-

ing and help us share the Christmas

spirit. We are looking for ornaments,

cookies to decorate, Christmas decorations… Please

contact Erica Faust or Pastor Erica if you are interested.

Pastors Mike & Erica are hosting a Young Adult

“Connecting At Christmas” gather-

ing at their home on Tuesday, De-

cember 29th from 6-9 p.m.

Please let us know if you plan on attending or know a

Young Adult we should invite!

Pastor Erica will be leading a 4 week

session for women about “Buckets” on

Tuesday nights starting January 4th.

We will gather for a time of devotion at 6:30 p.m.

and discuss the buckets in our

lives from 7-8 p.m. (ish).

Sunday School

Nursery offered at both services

Multi-age class at 9:00 service

Age-level classes (Pre-K, K-2 , 3-6) at

10:30 service

During the month of November all age levels will be

learning about Moses through various activities.

All of our teachers are dedicated volunteers who are

well-trained and background-checked.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are always looking for volunteers to

help with Sunday School, work in the nurse-

ry, provide a meal for our Sunday Night

Youth Night gathering, etc.

Please see Erica Faust if you need more information or

would like to volunteer for any of these activities.

Ladies Day Out

December 16 at 11:30am at Crusoe’s. Please call Mar-

vella Lester at 314-892-3092 to make reservations

5:00 p.m.-Family and Children focused worship with Candles

9:00 p.m.-Choir, Bells , Candles & Communion

11:00 p.m.-Special music, Candles & Communion

(Feel free to bring your little ones in their PJ’s!)

There is a new Church Bus Calendar in

the main office of the church. If your

group/ministry would like to use the

bus then please make sure you are on

the calendar. Thanks!

Christmas Tree Lot

The Athletic committee is preparing for the Holiday 2015 tree lot. The proceeds from the tree lot fund all of

the Athletic programs for St. Paul's youth and Adults. The committee has always looked to the congregation to assist us with the daily operations of the tree lot, so

gather your friends and sign up to help with this im-portant fund raiser!

Look for the sign up sheets to be posted in the coming weeks in the Narthex. The lot will open the weekend of Thanksgiving, November 27, 2014 . Be sure to sign up

early and often!

The committee will be setting up the lot on Saturday, November 21st, at 8:00 am. We will also be receiving

trees on that day. In case of rain on Saturday the com-mittee will set up on Sunday afternoon.

Pastors Mike & Erica will be offering a 2 week

study on ‘Discovering the Christ of Christmas’

on Tuesdays, December 8th and 15th. We

will meet in the sanctuary at 6:30 for some

reflective time together and the study will be

from 7-8 p.m. each night.
