THE ROSCONGRESS FOUNDATION:

The Roscongress Foundation was established in 2007 to organize and host the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It received its current name following a reorganization in December 2015. The Foundation aims to develop Russia’s economic potential and strengthen the country’s image by organizing congresses and exhibitions with an economic and social focus, developing substantive content, providing companies with advice, information, and expert guidance, and offering comprehensive evaluation, analysis, and coverage of the Russian and global economic agendas.

Prominent Russian and international faculty and thought leaders are intimately engaged in conceptualizing and executing the events, which reflect both global economic trends and the long-term strategic priorities of Russia.

Today, its yearly agenda includes events held across the globe from Montevideo to Vladivostok, bringing together global leaders from business, government, academia and media, and providing platforms to discuss, deliberate and advance new ideas and concrete projects, as well as promote social entrepreneurship and philanthropy.

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)

SPIEF is one of the foremost international platforms bringing together leaders to discuss the most pressing issues affecting the global economy and finance.

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum has been held annually since 1997.

Since 2005, the Forum has been held under the auspices and with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation, who addresses the Russian and global business community at the plenary session alongside other heads of state.

The IFC is a key platform to discuss and deliberate a wide range of issues affecting the financial sector in Russia and worldwide.

The Eastern Economic Forum is a platform designed to forge and strengthen ties between the Russian and international investment communities, help uncover the economic potential of the Russian Far East, demonstrate the investment potential of the region, and present particular opportunities for investment and doing business offered by special economic zones. InvestRus International Conference on Securing Investment Growth in Russia

The InvestRus Conference is held under the auspices of the Investment Council under the Chairmanship of the State Duma and with the support of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and the Russian Foreign Investment Advisory Council.

The objective of the Conference is to look at legal compliance practices and develop recommendations on how to improve current standards and regulations to promote investment in Russia.

The Chairman of the State Duma traditionally opens the plenary session, and meets with the foreign business representatives as part of the business programme.

The focus of the Conference is the growing impact of geopolitics on investment decisions, identifying new sources of investment and new forms of financing, improving the investment climate in Russia’s regions, attracting investment in small and medium business, and tax incentives for industrial enterprises as a factor in investment attractiveness.
