My dear friends in Christ:
As we journey together through this historic Year of Mercy,
we are called to celebrate the faith we share. Through the 50
central ministries of the Archdiocese of Boston, we bring the
love of Christ to all who seek Him.
At this time I invite you to join me in supporting the fruitful
work of these ministries and make a gift to the 2016 Catholic
Appeal. Your participation strengthens our parish
communities, and enables us to continue living our faith
together through the beauty and joy of the Gospel.
May God Bless you and your families during this holy season
of Lent and always.
Cardinal Sean O’Malley

Thank you for all the donations given to the Easter Basket
Ministry for families in need. The original request was to help
25 children which quickly increased to 65 last week.
Donations of games, toys, puzzles, candy, chocolates, grass,
cellophane and baskets poured in. We surpassed our goal with
delivering 67 baskets and could have not have been successful
without the help of our parish family at
St. Richards.
God Bless all of you!

Lenten Outreach Update Holy Thursday over 60 people gathered in our parish hall to
participate in The Hunger for Justice Program. Our team of
volunteers worked together with St. Mary’s High School in
Lynn to make sandwiches and bagged lunches for the home-
less in Boston and surrounding communities.
Those who gathered for this Lenten Act of Kindness prepared
and packaged 775 sandwiches!! The people at the Hunger for
Justice Program were amazed and most grateful for our
participation. We are most grateful to Colleen Newbury for
organizing such a great event that gave our parish the
opportunity to participate in helping make this Lenten Season
a little brighter for those less fortunate.
A special heart felt thank you to all who participated!!
