31st Sunday in Ordinary Time

There are so many times in our lives when we feel lost - when we start a new job or school or when we are reaching a new milestone in our lives and not sure what direction to take. These are normal feelings in life. What is not normal is when we are separated from the reason of our existence. When we are separated from Christ, we are really lost. Zacchaeus was lost but the Good Shepherd found him and he responded. He found himself in Jesus Christ. Some of you may sit in Mass this weekend feeling lost and thinking you should not be here but you are! Walking through the doors of the Church is, for many, like climbing the sycamore tree to get a glimpse of Jesus. Jesus sees YOU amongst the crowd of worshippers , he singles YOU out and wants to stay in YOUR house tonight. If you choose to let him then nothing can surpass the all encompassing joy in having Jesus in your life.

Wishing you every blessing, Fr Gerry
