Bonalbo Health Service staff received an
early Christmas present in mid-December
with a tour of the facility just prior to the
builder’s two-week Christmas closure.
The excitement was written across the
faces of the staff, who could not contain
their smiles and joy.
Staff were shown through Stage 1 of the
facility as the finishing touches were being
put into place.
Bonalbo MPS Stage 1 of construction

Department, inpatient beds, residential
aged care beds, GP consultation room, and

allied and community health consultation rooms.
When the facility becomes operational next
month, only current Bonalbo Hospital services
will be transferred. The residential aged care
beds and inpatient beds will become operational
once Stage 2 of construction is completed.
Stage 2 comprises the kitchen and laundry
facilities required to operationally open the
inpatient and aged care beds.
The project is due for completion late 2018.

The final finishing touches are being put in
place at Bonalbo MPS ahead of the keys
being handed over to the Northern NSW
Local Health District.
Here we provide a look at the Residential
Aged Care facility, which will open later this
year, as well as the Acute and community
health facilities.
The facility is expected to open next month. Residential Aged Care bedroom.
