Cowboy senior Brock Wilkens had the best finish taking third in the finals of the 110 meter hurdles on Saturday with a time of 15.34 seconds. Wilkens had been sixth in the preliminaries on Friday with 15.78. Sean Newlan of Phillipsburg was the 110 hurdles winner with a time of 14.79. Wilkens finished 15th in the Long Jump with a jump of 18’6.75”. Tylor Albright of Galena was the long jump winner with 21’10.5 inches. Cowboy Kelly Pearson was 13th in the high jump with a jump of 5’10”. Ryan Martin of Atchison County won with a jump of 6’4”. The Cowboys 4x100 relay team was eighth in the preliminaries with a time of 45.02. The Cowboys improved to sixth in the finals with a time of 44.80. Relay team members included Nathan Deeds, Reed Bel- lamy, Pearson and Garth Helton. Scott City won the preliminaries of the 4x100 with a time of 43.99, and went on to win the 4x100 finals with a time of 43.70. The Cowboys 4x800 relay team finished fifth with a time of 8:26.84. Relay team members were Dillon Trachsel, Bellamy, Chris Bustillos and Colton Cooper. Scott City won the 4x800 with a time of 8:16.86. The Cowboys finished 20th as a team with 11 points. Hutchinson- Trinity won with 69; Scott City second, 51; Riley County third, 37; Conway Springs fourth, 35; Phil- lipsburg fifth, 34; Atchison County sixth, 25; Anthony-Harper Chapar- ral seventh, 24; and Lyons tie for eighth with Hillsboro, 22. Former Cowgirl golfer competes at nationals Former Cowgirl golfer Chelsie Gausman and Jessica Leiker of Colby, recently returned from the National Junior College Athletic Associate women’s golf champion- ship in Daytona, Fla. This is the second year the Colby Community College Lady Trojan golfers competed in the national event. The four-day tournament was held May 16-19 at the LPGA Inter- national Golf Course. Gausman finished 44th with a four-day total of 353. She posted rounds of 89, 90, 85 and 89. Leiker finished in 70th with a total score of 383. She improved each day with rounds of 104, 97, 96 and 86. There were 120 participants in the tournament The Trojan golf teams are coached by Miles Ladenburger. He is as- sisted by Lisa Stithem. The next races will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, and will be Fan Appreciation Night. The stands open about 5 p.m. and hot laps are about 5:30 p.m. Winners in the second night of racing included John Fose (car 27) in the IMCA Modifieds, who well outdistanced the winner of the opening race Brady Coen (3) who finished 10th in the field of 18 in the featured race. Darren DeLoach (21) was second in the first race and fourth on May 21, but he is leading the track points race with 76 points. Nate Moore (7L) was fourth in the first race and finished third in the second to be close behind in the points race with 75. Coen is fourth in the points race with 71 and Fose is sixth with 65. Chris Heim (1) won his secind IMCA Northern Sport Modified di- vision feature race with 10 cars run- ning. Heim is leading the track points race with 77, and Jacob Adler (18A) is a close second with 75 points and was second in the feature race. Jason Schoenberger (6x) was the winner in the IMCA Stock Car feature with 11 cars running. Ryan Wark (8) who won the IMCA Stock Car first feature was not running. Bruce Plumisto (01W) is leading the track points race with 76 and Schenberger is tied for seventh with Wark with each having 40 points for their one race win. Angel Munoz (2) won his second IMCA Hobby Stock division feature with11carsrunning.2.TyrelSmith(12) was second improving from a fourth place finish in the first feature race. Munoz leads the track points with 80, but Smith is not far behind in second with 76 points. Jason Gray (32) won his second Econos division feature with 13 cars running. 2. Joe Harper (37) was sec- ond in the Econo feature improving on his 10th place finish in the first feature. Gray leads the track points with 80 for this two wins. Cowboys finish 20th at Class 3A state track meetThe Cowboys finished about the

Cowboy senior Brock Wilkens had the best finish taking third in the finals of the 110 meter hurdles on Saturday with a time of 15.34 seconds. Wilkens had been sixth in the preliminaries on Friday with 15.78. Sean Newlan of Phillipsburg was the 110 hurdles winner with a time of 14.79.
