WELCOME TO THE GO GROW ACCELERATOR BATCH #5 DEMO DAY
We are delighted to present to you the startup companies in Batch
#5 selected amongst Danish university student entrepreneurs, Alumni
and young growth-oriented startup companies.
Our 5th Batch includes early-stage startup companies within Health,
sharing economy platforms, SaaS, ICT, Robotics, Greentech, Apps,
service and e-commerce. The batch is characterized by being inter-
disciplinary, multi-cultural and diverse.
The Accelerator has, in five growth trajectories between 2014-
2018, inspired and challenged selected companies with a potential
for international growth, to think innovatively, set ambitious growth
targets, create sustainable networks and think international growth
from the start. The programme has accelerated 93 companies and
graduated 81 of the start-up ventures, in the 5 rounds since the
launch. The programme has created more than 175 jobs for the Danish
economy and achieved more than DKK 55 mio. in revenue during the
programme.
Go Grow Accelerator programme has supported the 5th Batch of
startup companies through the free experience-based educational
programme, which is driven by mentorship, access to financing
sources, to CSE and CBS extended network of entrepreneurs, business
executives, experts and scholars, helping the early stage startup
companies from Denmark grow their companies towards international
scale.
What’s ahead for Go Grow? The Go Grow Accelerator continue to aim
for best practice within venture growth and entrepreneurial education
programming, that accelerates student ventures and plays a vital role
in the training of students capable of contributing with innovation
and entrepreneurship to high level employment, as laid out in the CBS
strategy for 2017-2020, which has Entrepreneurship and innovation
at the center.
We hope you enjoy the lookbook. Our thanks and best wishes,
Dorthea Haldrup Nielsen - Head of Acceleration, CSE
Small and medium-sized enterprises in Denmark are the source of a
significant share of economic growth and key to ensuring innovation
and job creation. A long entrepreneurial tradition and an ambitious
business environment has supported entrepreneurs in putting their
ideas into practice and turning them into growing companies. Denmark
ranks seventh in the ”World Competitiveness Yearbook 2017”, but to
make it to the top we must continue to create conditions that spawn
new companies, generating growth and new jobs.
Therefore, the Danish Industry Foundation in 2017 decided to support
Digital Growth Path, an industry vertical in the existing Go Grow
Startup Accelerator programme, initiated in 2013 by the Foundation
and Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship. Digital Growth Path has
established a series of educational courses for growth entrepreneurs
specifically addressing the industry-specific needs of Industry
4.0 startups within areas such as robotics, 3D print, IoT, Artificial
Intelligence, and Augmented Reality.
Digital Growth Path thus aims to support and accelerate the growth
potential of Industry 4.0 entrepreneurs through measures such as
providing an industry-oriented, module-based business development
program, bringing industry experts to mentor the startup companies,
and facilitating interaction within the wider Industry 4.0 ecosystem.
The ambition is that the program will help startups reach international
growth with a specific focus on Industry 4.0 and modern production
technologies, with the aim of strengthening Danish competitiveness
and job creation.
The Danish Industry Foundation is pleased to release this lookbook from
the Digital Growth Path program in collaboration with Copenhagen
School of Entrepreneurship and Danish industry partners.

ABOUTTHE DIGITAL GROWTH PATH
Digital Growth Path (DGP) is a public-private acceleration path within
the Go Grow programme, supported by The Danish Industry Foundation
and partners. It focuses on Industry 4.0 startup companies involved in
big data, additive manufacturing, artificial vision, cloud computing,
augmented reality, cybersecurity, cyber-physical systems and/or
collaborative robotics.
The purpose of DGP is specifically to support companies working with
Industry 4.0 technologies to progress their businesses and successfully
face the challenges of digital transformation within Industry 4.0.
The target audience is BOTH student entrepreneurs from universities
AND younger, established, growth-oriented companies with an
international scalable business model; and both groups will participate
equally in the program. The intention is, with international growth as
the focal point, to continue to tap into the synergy effect between
the two groups and leverage this, creating new networks, exchange
of experiences and generate new knowledge and perspectives in
the meeting between young and established growth companies and
entrepreneurs from universities.
For the Go Grow winter 2017/2018 Batch, a number of interesting
companies were selected to join, including companies active within
robotics, sensor technologies, IoT and collection and rendering
of equipment- and user generated data, as well as production
optimization and management software and apps. The companies are
at different maturity stages, some in the process of defining the exact
business model, some with an already on-going business.
DGP supported the companies in DGP by bringing in specialist mentors
to assist the companies, covering areas of legal and technical
compliance, technical sales, marketing of industrial solutions,
business modelling, and pitching technical solutions for a non-
technical, commercially-minded audience.

OUR BATCH #5 COMPANIES
Hooves
Owning a horse can easily cost 9000kr. a month only in maintenance –
that’s double the average apartment rent in Copenhagen. A horse also
needs to be taken care of every single day. These expenditures place
extreme barriers of entry on who is actually able to own a horse.
The vision of Hooves is to push down these barriers by encouraging
and helping riders to share horses. The long-term vision is to disrupt
the market by lowering costs, as well as becoming the leader of dig-
italization within the industry. With a €50 billion market in Europe
alone, Hooves is tapping into a target group loaded with money, and
driven by passion.

JAGDER
Among the Danish hunters, 76% wants to go hunting more than they
do today. However, due to the process of booking hunts being time-
consuming, complicated and intransparent, the hunters find it hard
to do more often. Furthermore, long-term contracts or expensive
agencies are other options for finding hunt.
JAGDER is a marketplace that connects hunters and landowners.
JAGDER provides an end-to-end solution that makes the process
of booking, paying and administrating hunts simple and easily
manageable. JAGDER builds trust between landowners and hunters
via a rating- and reviewing system while letting them save time and
money by simplifying the, nowadays complicated, way of booking and
administrate hunts. JAGDER makes it easy to go hunting.

Work Balance Institute
Work Balance Institute is a Danish start-up who has developed the
B2B-platform Woba to solve the biggest health issue of modern
businesses – work related sick leaves! The founders of our company
has a background in work psychology and they concluded in their
thesis that: the reason behind the increasing level of sick leaves
in todays business is, that the majority of the existing solutions in
the market are “reactive” – in other words they use old data so the
management only have the opportunity to react after the sick leave
has occurred.
workbalanceinstitute.com
The results are a high staff turnover, lack of productivity and reduction
in profits (the costs due sick leaves in Europe was 31 billion dollars).
After their thesis they where then clear about one thing – change is
needed – and therefore they build the proative platform Woba.

Aqumi is an IoT-connected smart maintenance system for urban
nature combining sensor technology with rainwater management. By
replacing fixed scheduled watering trips with data driven insights we
are saving water, labour cost and reducing car emissions.
The company was founded by two landscape architects, who were
in search for a solution to harvest and monitor rainwater in their
green spaces. Realising no such product existed, they teamed up with
Frederiksberg Municipality to prototype a solution, and quickly saw
bylandstudio.dk
the potential for further commercialization. Through sensor monitoring
and an intuitive cloud-based dashboard, Aqumi is drastically reducing
the need for maintenance and enables us to build greener, lusher and
more livable cities, for a growing urban population worldwide.

Krizo
Crises are here to stay and Krizo structures your response when you
face the unwanted.
Emil, our CEO, got the idea and saw the market opportunity when
he was approached by a couple security specialists in 2016, who
asked him to make the software. It took him more than 6 months to
find Mikkel, who gave up his solid salary as a back-end programmer
with more than 20 years of experience. In early 2017, Peter, ex-
head of communications and investor relations of different blue-
chip companies, joined the team. During 2017, it was all about
programming. In the autumn, we were so fortunate to join Go Grow
and learn from other start-ups. Today, it’s all about organising pilot-
projects with different organisations. Thanks to input from our first
signed-on reseller, we now focus on building the ultimate crisis
management tool for harbours.

NoviPel
NoviPels first product VisU, provides a sensor for examining and
storing reliable data during pelvic floor exams. Today data collection
is done primarily via digital palpation (fingers), which is inexpensive,
but is hard to replicate as objective data. Objective data is key to
understanding the pathological traits of incontinence, a condition
which is a massive taboo and cost for consumers and governments.

Octavic
When compared to similar systems currently available on the market,
you immediately notice that Octavic system offers a holistic approach
to the entire manufacturing process, whereas other systems address
these issues only partially. For Life Sciences industries we offer
assistance in digitalising the paper-based system that is required in
order to be GMP compliant. The system in 4 simple steps:
1. Building the bespoke hardware & software. We start by customising
the hardware & software settings according to your specific needs.

other features that can make your production process faster and
safer.
2. Super simple, Lego-like data annotations. The device used for data
annotations has a user interface similar to the Lego bricks. Wondering
why? Its simplicity allows us to quickly and accurately develop a new
flow of processes for a specific industry.
