• Understand the composition and strategic goals of State Fall Prevention Coalitions (SFPC)
• Discuss SFPC barriers and facilitators to achieving strategic goals
• Understand characteristics of effective coalitions
• Discuss lessons learned in advancing falls prevention systems change
• Identify resources for SFPC
State Fall Prevention Coalition Survey Background
• Conducted in Winter, 2013 & 2014—63 items
• Sent to state falls prevention coalition leads
– 34 states had active falls prevention coalitions and completed the survey (2013)
– 37 states had active falls prevention coalitions and completed the survey (2014)
• 8 strategy goal areas
