Process

Directive from Minister of Energy to IESO on new EFW procurement

Process• A contract term of no more than 20 years• Total net contracted capacity cap of 75 megawatts for new-

build (not include facilities already operating), EFW projects (landfill gas capture and AD facilities which receive pricing under the FIT program would not be included)

• Projects must be connected directly to the IESO-controlled grid• Program eligibility for new EFW projects including

demonstration of municipal support, minimum level of project maturity, and connection availability screening

• Nominal contract price of 8 cents per kWh with reasonable price escalation, as determined by IESO.
