CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROGRAM (CSR)STATIC ELECTRICITY AWARENESS PROGRAM AT SMK SAAS)

On 1st November 2018, Enotek Engineering Sdn Bhd has held a Corporate

Social Responsibility C.S.R program for 2018 named ‘STATIC

ELECTRICITY AWARENESS’ at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan

Abdul Aziz Shah, SMK SAAS. The program was done entirely by ENOTEK

ENGINEERING SDN BHD representatives’ staff. Nowadays, frequently

heard of cases related to flash fire/burn happened at petrol stations during

fuelling activity. Like it or not, all people have linked to petrol stations due to

their routine/activity required to fuel up their vehicles (moving from one

point to another). With minimum self-awareness on LFI could increase the

number of accident. Due to this, someone has to educate/spread the

message and promote the save practice at petrol station (Do not use cell

phone, do not smoking, discharge yourself first, and etc). Hopefully by

doing so, we could save more life and promote safety to others.

In conjunction to enhance capability of

Permit Holder (PH) at site in managing

HSSE without any incident that may

cause harm to human and property.

Enotek Engineering Sdn Bhd has lead

the Heart and Mind Program with

Permit Holder at Shell Theen Fatt

which has been organized by LCSC.

This is one of LCSC program for 2018

to all L3 Contractor and this program

has been joined by 20 participants. On

this program, PH have been trained

related to shell hazardous zone,

identify hazard, and site

documentation. At the end of program,

PH have been invited for “happy lunch

with PH” to create and build

relationship among PH.

On 21st November 2018, Enotek

Engineering Sdn Bhd has conducted

ERP Drill related to electrocution at

site Shell Nastrup Services. This

incident drill scenario are occurred

during one of worker touch the

electrical power socket with his wet

hand after come back from toilet and

conscious immediately at work area.

Hence, this is the purpose of the drill

which is to expose site team with

real panic situations and to evaluate

the effectiveness of site ERT team

on how to act when someone are

being electrocuted. At the end of the

event, a post mortem session has

been conducted to create better

understanding on worker and to

improve the emergency response

plan time gap.

On 8 to 9 November, Enotek has

undergo 1st stage audit by to

evaluate the related

documentations as per stated in

clause ISO and OHSAS.

Reviewing documentation, clause

and compliance of organization

towards regulatory law is the first

step for those organizations that

have decided to undergo an

assessment process with a

Certification Body (CB). These 1st

stage audits differ in many ways:

their purpose, duration, information

reviewed and sometimes even in

the location where it will take

place. The objective of 1st Audit is

to determine an organization’s

readiness for their 2nd stage

Certification Audit.

NIOSH : AUTHORISED GAS TESTER REFRESHER TRAINING

In compliance to Industrial Code of

Practice 2010, Enotek management

level has send 3 staff to attend

authorized gas tester refresher

training at NIOSH Bangi. Gas

releases and other atmospheric

changes can be extremely

dangerous in the workplace. They

can cause serious injury and death.

The atmosphere shall be tested by

an Authorized Gas Tester initially

and continuous monitoring may be

done by an Authorized Gas Tester

or an authorized entrant. The

continuous monitoring of

atmospheric condition shall be

carried out consistent with the

hazards identified and the risk

assessment.

SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM : FATIGUE MANAGEMENT

Workplace fatigue can lead to

accidents, injury, ill-health and

loss of productivity. Fatigue is

generally considered to be a

decline in mental and/or

physical performance that

results from prolonged

exertion, sleep loss and/or

disruption of a person's

'internal clock'. Research

shows that some working

patterns result in less fatigue

than others. By taking

advantage of more favorable

patterns and allowing

sufficient recovery time, it is

possible to balance the needs

of both worker and workplace.

Enotek management level committed

to conduct Safety Awareness Program

for month November in delivering an

awareness to all staff regarding the

risk of fatigue and how to prevent all

staff from being exposed to fatigue

incident.

Lately, we may heard about

an fatal tragedy related to

emergency local authorities

personnel die when saving

a lifes. What are the root

cause of this issue? One of

precautions and compliance

from Enotek management,

to ensure unexpected,

unwanted or unplanned

situations that required to

trigger an emergency

response all staff are well

prepare and may adapt the

panic situation safely. This

training are focusing on

responsibilities of ERT team

and been briefed related to

the responsibility
