CCI Collocation Meeting

Goals:

•  Improve exploitation and promotion of CCI data (COP-21 prep, breakout sessions on Data Portal/Toolbox and Exploitation)

•  Consolidate CCI Achievements - presentations on Wednesday morning

•  Determine which ECVs are operational and ready for Copernicus Climate Change services

•  Determine what R&D is still required for the ECVs (and feed this info to GCOS)

•  Look ahead to how the CCI may evolve, with new ECVs and new data (Sentinels)

CCI Progress and Achievements

By the end of Phase 2, all CCI Projects will have achieved: •  Algorithm improvements (GCOS ECV product accuracy and

stability requirements) •  Standardised global multi-mission ECV time series •  Development of ECV product uncertainty estimates •  Validation of ECVs •  Climate user assessment of ECV fitness-for-purpose •  Development of sustainable data processing systems •  Implementation of open access to all data products and

reports •  Strong international cooperation with relevant agencies,

scientific and user groups •  There has also been progress on common cross-ECV

challenges through programme-wide cooperation •  Where feasible, all projects will adapt algorithms to use new

Sentinel data, as these become available. •  Finally, Visualisation Tool is fully functioning and the app will

be available on iTunes store by end 2015.
