Taysan Full Gospel Church Sends Thank

Celebrating the Ministry of the Church

The Taysan Full Gospel Church congregation in Batangas, Philippines sends their heartfelt thanks to all who prayed for them and others in the Philippines in light of the recent volcanic eruption of the Taal Volcano on January 12, 2020.

The Taal Volcano is located in Batangas and is only about 20 miles away from the town of Taysan. The alert level was raised to up to a level 4 (out of 5) in January but has since been lowered to a level 2 on February 14th. The Taysan residents were not forced to evacuate, although volcanic ash continued to fall and coat the area for weeks, presenting challenges for the local gardens and farming.

Pastora Melita Gabion (front left) reports that the Taysan FGC and its outreach in Tubahan, one hour walking distance away, continues to flourish and grow as a mighty body of Christ. While the main congregation (pictured above) utilizes a make shift meeting space on an abandoned property, the Tubahan outreach congregation meets home to home. Read more, Page 4.

Phrear School of Theology Your Assistance is Greatly NeededStudent Body Grow Exponentially Will You Prayerfully Support This Ministry Today?

Phrear School of Theology opened its Spring 2020 semester on January 13th with 45 undergrad and some 134 diploma students from three continents, training for pastoral, evangelistic, and missionary work. This years student body represents more than a 100% increase in training since the 2018-19 school year. The undergrad student body, representing the United States, Jamaica, Mexico, Malawi and the Philippines – have all come together in combined online classes, with local pastoral leadership facilitating PST Study Group classes (where available) in their local ministry settings. The PST / International Maranatha Institute diploma students are undergoing their training by distance or in one of the 9 study group locations available within the Philippines and Malawi.

For this expansion of the Lord’s work, courses are now being offered in Chichewa, Filipino, Spanish and English. While students of the Philippines and Malawi began receiving classes in their local languages in 2018-19, the opening of the Spring 2020 term marked a new milestone for PST classes now being offered in Spanish. Through the office of PST instructor Pastora Narcedalia Licht of Wisconsin, students of the Monterrey, Mexico study group are receiving their online classes. Pastora Narcedalia proctors these classes online, together with the on-location assistance from Pastor Luis Campos in Monterrey.

In areas where English is widely spoken, all PST undergrad degree candidate students participate in online courses with students from throughout the United States. Through the PST International Maranatha Institute diploma programs, courses now available in the English, Chichewa, and Filipino languages. Since 2018, PST has been utilizing Populi as its Student Information and Learning Management System. Populi affords to PST students the flexibility to conduct activities – such as watching lectures, submitting coursework, viewing records – and participation in virtual online classrooms. It also lets students interact with their “classmates” from other states and countries, learning from each others’ enriched experiences in different cultures and settings.

Your prayerful giving into the FG Missions / PST Capital Program will touch the lives of many as you support this growing and expanding ministry of the Lord. Help raise up tomorrows leadership! Please Contribute Today.

PENTECOST 3.

Celebrating the Ministry of the Church

Celebrating Christ Jesus Together To all God’s People,

The season in which all, who are believing in Jesus, will come together in celebration of His resurrection, is now upon us. Soon the world will once again pause from both its ongoing joys and trials, and hear the raised voices of the followers of Christ, giving testimony of the miracle working power of the Lord Jesus!

As Jesus spoke to Martha concerning Lazarus, He declared “Your brother will rise again.” Martha answered with the understanding and knowledge, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” The immediate response of Christ Jesus was, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11 ESV) In this, we come to understand the full power of God found only in believing in Jesus. In Christ Jesus, eternal life is found! Likewise, as the believer walks confident under the influence of the Holy Spirit, walking by faith and not by sight, knowing that we once who were dead in sin, are now chosen of God, saved by Grace, living by faith in Christ and his righteousness, we now, to the glory of our risen Savior, walk in fellowship with Him!

Let us rejoice in this hour with the lyrics of the hymn of old, titled ‘In the Garden’. Those lyrics, in part, ring out today…

I come to the garden aloneWhile the dew is still on the roses

And the voice I hear, falling on my earThe Son of God discloses

And he walks with meAnd he talks with me

And he tells me I am His ownAnd the joy we share as we tarry there

None other has ever known

He speaks and the sound of His voiceIs so sweet the birds hush their singing

And the melody that He gave to meWithin my heart is ringing

And he walks with meAnd he talks with me

May your voice rise in praise of your Redeemer, the Lord Jesus in this holy season. ‘Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! (1 Cor. 15:57). Yes the challenges in this day abound, however the call today for every FG clergy and parishioner is; utilize every medium available, whether it be congregational, small group, telecommuting, text, facebook, or around the home with family. Let your testimony and praise be a declaration of the saving grace of Christ Jesus, (Phil. 4:5) for the Lord is coming soon! We celebrate Christ Jesus together this Resurrection Sunday! Be blessed.
