THEME : PLANT LIFE AND MEANS OF TRANSPORT

I. 2D figures

The four basic shapes are

1) Square

It has 4 sides, 4corners and all the sides are equal.

2) Rectangle

It has 4 sides, 4 corners but only opposite sides are equal.

3) Triangle

It has 3 sides and 3 corners and all the sides may or may not be equal.

4) Circle

It is a closed loop. It has no sides and no corners.

II. Guess my shape:-

1) I have three sides .What shape am I? Ans: Triangle

2) I have no sides. What shape am I? Ans: Circle

3) I have four sides and all my sides are equal .What shape am I? Ans: Square

III. Draw a house using the given shapes:-

(square, rectangle, triangle, circle)

IV. Weekend Activity :- Make different shapes using ice-cream sticks/ match sticks or straw and

name the shapes. V. Activities:-

1. Collect pictures of things in different shapes and stick them in a chart.

2. Color the squares red, the circles blue and the triangles green
