Women’s Retreat: Uncharted Journey

Thankyou to the women who attended the retreat last Saturday. With Pat Hansenas the chair of theretreat committee, the event was planned with energy andspirituality. Registration numbers alone donot express success, but theinterest of 117 women speaks to the strong desire for spirituality.

Patassembled a team whose individual gifts contributed richly to the planning the UnchartedJourney. The Rev. Beth Templeton guided the women through threetopics of transition: Loss, Letting Go, andGrowth at a just-right pace, and the ladies departed with insight and skills to approach life’stransitions. To listen and laugh and think and pray were some of theingredients that Beth used to create a specialenvironment for the UnchartedJourney.

Thankyou to the Committee: Annalynn Barnett, Elizabeth Guest Martin, SandraMoore, Jeanne Peak,Heather Pratt, Betsy Turnbull, and Brooke Vickery. Their commitment and team spirit generated anenthusiasm for creating a day ofspiritual nurture mixed with fun. In addition, Betty Ward providedhermusical gifts on the keyboard, and a “few good men” kept the coffee brewed, pitchers full, lunchprovided, and snack trays replenished. TommyDowling, Jack Hansen, John Kendall, and Randy Olsonserved throughout theday. John Knox is fortunate to have the dedication of these fine people.
