Throughout 2014/15 St. Johns will seek to strengthen existing relationships with local sports clubs and begin new fresh relationships with others (including a very exciting one with Stoke City F.C!!!). At the beginning of the academic year we asked our pupils what new activities they would like to try as a result this year some of our pupils have experienced Parkour, Dance, Hockey, Tag Rugby, Handball, Basketball & Cricket.

The School has also created a Sports Club brochure for our pupils informing both parents and children various ways they could get active outside of School time!

At St. Johns we believe in engaging our pupils and challenging them to fulfil their potential both within School time and outside of it!.

Red 6: Assessment of pupils progress is used to raise pupils achievement in PE.

New assessment system is now in place, staff awareness and knowledge of the new system has been developed through CPD with Craig Sigley.Higher ability and lower ability children have been identified in each year group (a task made significantly easier with new assessment system), based on compiled assessment data. This has enabled lessons to be differentiated effectively.Children will undergo a second bleep test so as to provide comparative data; can compare results to those of previous bleep test to identify progress in the health of pupils.
