M UFTI Day is once again around the
corner. On Wednesday, September
4, the students will be wearing mari-
time-inspired costumes/outfits in commemoration
of the celebration of World Maritime Day, which
will be on September 26.
The United Nations (UN), via the Interna-
tional Maritime Organization (IMO), created
World Maritime Day to celebrate the interna-
tional maritime industry’s contribution towards
the world’s economy, especially in shipping. The
event’s date varies by year and country but it is
always on the last week of September.
So, make sure to come to school wearing
your most creative sailor fit on the date stated.
Get on board, sailors!
