Why 3:00 PM?? Jesus asked, that as o en as we “hear the clock strike the third hour” that we deeply contemplate His Passion, “if only for a brief moment”. But a er we observe the moment of the death of the Messiah at 3 O’Clock with this special prayer, we then have before us “the hour of great mercy for the whole world”. (Diary 1320) Jesus has let us know that in Heaven, the 3 O’Clock hour is a special holy hour, as He said, "it was the hour of grace for the whole world — mercy triumphed over jus ce...In this hour, you can obtain everything for yourself and for others for the asking...In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion". (Diary 1320, 1572)

Much of what we know about St. Mark, the author of the Second Gospel, comes largely from the New Testament and early Chris an tradi ons. Mark the Evangelist is believed to be the 'John Mark' referred to in the Acts of the Apostles, the history of the early Church found in the Canon of the New Testament.

He was the son of Mary of Jerusalem (Acts 12:12) whose home became a mee ng place for the apostles. He is also the cousin of St. Barnabas (Colossians 4:10), a Levite and a Cypriot. Mark joined St. Paul and St. Barnabas on their first missionary journey to An och in 44 A.D. When the group reached Cyprus, Chris an tradi on holds that Mark le them and returned to Jerusalem, possibly because he was missing his home (Acts 13:13).

Something NEW The Youth leaders have created a NEW Facebook page for our young people!! It is Saint Peter & Paul Youth Group. There are several when you search but you will know you have found the right one when you see the profile picture, it is the Youth Group logo that is located in the bo om right corner of this column. It is a great way for us all to connect and also offer some great live streamed or recorded events that will be of benefit to us all. Mom’s and Dad’s you are welcome to join us for all of these. Our hope is that it will be a great blessing to all of us as we go through this difficult

me.

If your students name is italicized and underlined, the office does not yet have their registra on form.
