STUDENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE REPORT FOR THE YEAR
2017-2018
9th
August 2017
An Induction program for the first years of all streams was held on 9th
August .Principal
Dr.Surekha Reddy addressed the students with her enlighting words. Also Vice Principal Dr
Grace Sudhir advised the students to join Quills Club and improve communication
skills.Convenor of IQAC Mrs.Vijaya and SQAC members Ms.Juweria Tabassum ,Ms.Mahaveen
Sana introduced the students about their council activities.

The council members met in the Principal’s room for making arrangements for Independence
Day celebrations.
15th
August 2017
Independence Day was celebrated with pomp and glory in the college campus.Principal Dr
Surekha Reddy hoisted the National flag and addressed the gathering with her message.Patriotic
songs were sung by students. Independence Day speech was delivered by Correspondent cum
Secretary Prof Muthyam Reddy and also by the Principal followed by parade of NCC students.
Breakfast was arranged for both staff and students.

Student Council members’ meeting was held to discuss and make necessary arrangements for
competitions to be conducted in connection with Founders Birthday Celebrations.
18th
-21st August 2017
Competitions were conducted in Essay writing, elocution, debate, poster presentation, best out of
waste, signing (classical and light and mehendi..All the competitions had good number of
participants.
22nd
August 2017
Raja Bahadur Venkata Rama Reddy 149th Birthday celebrations started with garlanding the
Founder’s statue. Senior Journalist Sri Pashan Yadagiri was the Chief Guest. He addressed the
gathering and also distributed prizes to winners of various competitions .The Function was
attended by management members, staff and students while Correspondent cum Secretary Prof
Muthyam Reddy presided over the function. Prize distribution was followed by Cultural
programmes coordinated by the Cultural Committee.

Student Advisory committee Meeting took place in Principals Room to plan Student Council
elections for the year 2017-2018. It was decided that elections would be conducted on 28th
august 2017 and the Student Council Inaugural cum Fresher’s would be on 6th
of September
2017.

As decided the student council election were held on Afternoon of 28 th
August 2017 in AV
room under the supervision of Student advisory Committee two other judges. Class
representatives voted for the contesting candidates for various posts

As planned the inaugural of student council was held on 6th
September.Prof Muthyam Reddy,
Correspondent cum Secretary was the chief guest for the event. The inaugural started with
former President of the Student council Ms Sai Priya handing over the charge to the newly
elected President Ms Juweria Tabassum along with the other council members .The new cabinet
took an oath of office. Principal,Dr Surekha Reddy,Vice Principal Dr Grace Sudhir addressed
the gathering while former President of the Council shared her experiences and Juweria
Tabassum ,President of the new Cabinet announced her plans for the year. General Secretary,
Syeda Mahveen Sana proposed the vote of thanks.
The inaugural was followed by the Fresher’s Party to welcome our First Year Students hosted by
the second and final year students.

September 2017
JCI conducted the preliminary round of Public Speaking contest in the college campus on 16th
September in which Juweria Tabussum, Asfia Khannum, Viola and Simran Jain got selected for
the Finale which was scheduled for 27th
September. Asfia Khannum received prize for “Most –
Inspiring Speech”.
On the same day, Radio Mirchi, famous Radio station conducted fun games in the college
campus.

Traffic Safety Riding Training was conducted by Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.
In association with Traffic Police, Hyderabad for both students as well as staff.

Our college Students took part in Bathukamma celebrations which was organized by GHMC at
Lingampally Park.
27th
September 2017
Traditional day was celebrated in a grand way in college premises.Bathukamma were made by
support staff and later in afternoon everyone enjoyed playing Bathukamma in college
Auditorium with great joy.

October 2017
Students participated in the “SHE team Programme” conducted by the Police Commissioner-
SHE team in association with Vanitha Channel at Police Control Room ,Nampally. This program
was aired in the channel on 9th
September 2017 from 3:30 to 4:30pm.

Students raised funds of One Thousand rupees in connection with the Police Commemoration
day.
1st November 2017
The Central Vigilance Commission(CVC)as the apex integrity institution of the country has
directed to observe “Vigilance Awareness Week”from 30.10.2017 to 4.11.2017.In this
regard,Elocution And Essay Writing Competitions were conducted by Andhra Bank
,Narayanguda in college premises on the topic “Corruption Free India”. The following Students

Prize winners of Elocution And Essay Writing Competitions conducted by Andhra Bank,
Narayanguda attended the Prize distribution ceremony in Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan,King Koti on

November : The National Foundation For Communal Harmony (NFCH)observed
Communal Harmony Campaign Week from 19th
to 25th
November and Flag day on 24th
November under the ministry of Home Affairs ,Govt of India.On this occation students were
distributed stickers provided by NFCH .Students campaigned in the college campus showcasing
the banners sticked the stickers to every vehicle in the

Students were taken for a one day recreation Tour to Hidden Castle resorts near Siddipet.

January 2018
Annual competitions were conducted for U.G and P.G separately in the college.
Students took an active participation in all the competitions. The competitions conducted were
Essay writing ,elocution, Debate, Dance(solo, group),singing(classical, light),Caption Writing,
Poster Presentation ,Nail Art, Jewelry Making , Hair style, Mehendi and Rangoli.

January 2018
Republic day was celebrated in the college campus. Former Justice Gopal Reddy sir hoisted the
National flag and addressed the gathering .Patriotic songs were sung by students .Program
concluded by the Cultural items on a patriotic songs and parade by NCC students. Breakfast was
arranged for both staff and students.
27th
January 2018
A lecture on Gas Conservation and Safety measures was conducted for staff and students in
college auditorium. The lecture was delivered by Mrs.Rajam Gangam OF Consumer Care
Center,Vittavadi.
14th
February 2018: The following students attended National Women’s Summit and
submitted the report.
16th
February 2018:Arrangements were made to view the program of Hon’ble Prime minister
Shri Narendra Modi addressing students of all educational institutions at 11:00 am through live
telecast on handling examination stress and making exams fun.

The College Day celebrations started by garlanding the statue of our Founder near the entrance
of the college by the Chief Guest ,The Commissioner of College Education,Govt. of Telangana,
Sri Naveen Mittal,IAS. Principal, Dr.K Sarada read out the annual report following which the
academic toppers were awarded gold medals,cash prizes ,shields in their respective categories
Also the prize winners of the annual competition conducted earlier in the month of January were
given away the prizes.Diamond Jubliee Souvenir was released by the Chief Guest,
Correspondent cum Secretary Prof Muthyam Reddy and Principal, Dr.K Sarada .The program
ended with colorful cultural performances.
The same afternoon, our first and second year student bid a memorable Farewell to the final year
students of UG.
