The rationale for today’s leadership training is to ensure
that the students working on this campus as leaders are
well equipped and trained to represent their organizations.

necessary to lead your organizations in a direction of
growth and engagement.

• Learn about communication techniques and group dynamics
• Learn about conflict management techniques

The goals for today are to:
• Prepare you for your role as a student leader

cross the river as one large group.
• Participants will cross the river using rafts
and cannot touch the piranha infested

the entire group must start over.
• The rafts must be in contact with a person
at all times or else it will float down the
river.
• What happened during the activity?
• What strategies did you use to complete the activity?
• What was difficult or frustrating about the process?
• What was it like having so many members in a group? How did you make sure everyone knew the plan without verbally communicating?
• What role did you play in the group? Were you OK with that role?
