The beginning of this new year is particularly a special one for your caisse. Indeed, on January 1st themerging of the two caisses, des Ramées and Fatima, took effect. The joining of these two institutions willenable the new Caisse populaire Desjardins des Ramées to be an important economic and strategicboost for the community of the Magdalen Islands. A larger caisse ensures that we meet the complexneeds of members and maintain a high-level quality of service, thanks to stronger teams and sharing ofexpertise.

Fourth largest in eastern Québec, the new caisse brings together 13,570 members to be served by a teamof 60 skilled and professional employees. With a turnover of nearly $655 million, the Caisse populaireDesjardins des Ramées is a solid financial institution, focused on the future.

We can assure you that your satisfaction is our top priority and we are confident that the new assets wehave will allow us to continually improve the services we offer.

Over the last months, three new resources have joined the team of temporarycashiers: Joëlle Gallant, Caroline Arseneau and Mélissa Déraspe.

The advisory service team has also welcomed two new personal financial advisorsto its team, Mr. Emmanuel Boudreau and Ms. Bianca Vigneau (contract posi-tion), who are both in training for the coming weeks. The staff and managementof the Caisse des Ramées wish them all a very warm welcome.

Retirement

Our colleague Juliette Bourgeois has just started a new phase of her professional life: retirement.In 35 years with Desjardins, she held several positions including cashier, clerk and personal financialadvisor, a position she held for 23 years at the Caisse des Ramées. Juliette was always greatlyconcerned with the clients’ needs and stood out in her team by her great dedication. We hope shetakes full advantage of this new freedom that awaits her. Happy retirement!

Desjardins de Fatima

from 1991 to 2014

Following the merger of the Caisse populaire Desjardins de Fatima and the Caisse populaireDesjardins des Ramées, your new caisse will make adjustments to its computer systems. Thisoperation will take place February 14, 2015. Please note that on this day:

• The Cap-aux-Meules Service Centre, which is usually open on Saturdays, will be closed all day.

• The members of the Caisse populaire Desjardins de Fatima will not be able to use their Desjardins access cards for the automatic tellers, direct payment (in businesses) and the AccèsD service from Saturday, February 14, 2015, as of 6:30 pm, until Sunday February 15, 2015 around 11:00 am. As of Sunday morning around 8 am, members will be able to progressively use the self-service equipment, according to the progress of the work being done.

Contribute earlyRRSPs are easy to understand: they put time on your side. The longer your money stays in thistax shelter, the more you'll have at your retirement.

Contribute early in the yearIf you have a regular income, contributing to your RRSP by regular instalments is the most effective, flexible way to build your portfolio. Your investment startsbearing fruit from the first day, and your earnings accumulate more rapidly than if you only contributed once a year.

Contribute your maximumFor any given tax year, the law allows you to contribute an amount equal to 18% of your income from the previous year. Always try to contribute your maximum.

Contribute regularlyWhen you don't contribute to your RRSP for even only one year, you could be depriving yourself of a lot of money when you retire.
