On behalf of Student Veterans of America (SVA), a coalition of student veteran organizations on over 1,200colleges and universities across the country, I am writing to express our support for the “  Servicemember Higher

Education Protection Act of 2015 ”  .

Our veterans face numerous obstacles in obtaining a college degree; from managing their campus experience asnontraditional students to navigating complex bureaucracies of the DoD and VA. This legislation will make thatroad a little smoother by ensuring our returning servicemembers and veterans receive the education benefits theyhave earned, along with the tools and resources to make the best decisions for themselves and their families.

We applaud you for standing with our veterans, and supporting them in their pursuit of a college degree andbeyond. We urge you to remain steadfast in your fight to ensure that all servicemembers and veterans receive theprotections afforded to them under the law, and please let me know if you have any questions.
