Arrival/Dismissal Procedures 2020- 2021

Arrival Times and Student Procedures:

● All students are to arrive on campus starting at 7:30 am

● School Begins at 7:50 am - 3:05 pm

● Breakfast is free for all Bellaire Students

● Breakfast will be served in the classroom daily

Visitors

● HEB ISD facilities will be closed to outside visitors, except by appointment.

○ Parents may schedule conferences with teachers or an administrator

virtually or in-person. Parents will unfortunately, NOT be able to walk

students to the classroom, visit classrooms, or join students for meals.

Walkers:

Walkers from Pecan Drive

● Students walking on the sidewalk from Pecan Drive to Bellaire Drive will

follow the sidewalk walking toward the back of the school to grade level

doorways socially distancing 6 feet from the student(s) in front of or

behind them.

● Students walking through the field from Pecan Drive will walk toward the

gym to the back of the school to grade level doorways socially distancing

6 feet from the student(s) in front of or behind them.

Walkers from South Bellaire Drive

● Students walking from the South side of the building will follow the sidewalk to

the front entrance of the school socially distancing 6 feet from the student(s)

in front of or behind them.

Access into Building with mask on properly:

● Students will walk to their grade level door, stand in line socially distancing 6

feet away from the next student in line and wait to have temperature taken.

When cleared, student will enter building, use hand sanitizer and go directly to homeroom class.

● *** If student has a temperature of more than 100 degrees, student will wait 5 minutes to have temperature rechecked. If temperature is still 100

degrees or more, parent will be called to pick-up student .

Arrival Car Riders

STEP 1: K- 6 Parents will enter the front drive or (Pre-K drive if you are dropping

off a PreK student only) and drive up to the first station open with a Bellaire staff

member.

STEP 2: Parents/Students will open the door and student will self exit the vehicle.

STEP 3: Parent will wait for student's temperature to be taken and cleared.

STEP 4: With face mask on properly, student(s) will stand on the sidewalk while

Bellaire staff members take their temperature.

STEP 5: Student is cleared if temperature is less than 100 degrees, student will then

walk to the front entrance socially distancing 6 feet from other students, use hand

sanitizer and go directly to their homeroom class.

**** If Temp is higher than 100 degrees,parent/student will wait 5 minutes to be

recheck. IF temperature remains above 100 degrees, parent will take student

home.

for grades.

Pre-K 2:45

Walker/Car Rider Dismissal Instructions

● All Pre-K students will be dismissed at 2:45 from the side of the school located at the South parking lot. If picking up older siblings, please proceed to the front entrance after picking up Pre-K student.

● If there are multiple siblings in a family, pick-up at the oldest grade level time slot. ***For example: I have a kinder student, 1st grader and a 6th grader. I will pick-up all students at 3:05.***

● Please be patient as we dismiss students safely following social distancing guidelines as students are dismissed from classrooms.

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade 2:55

Parent Walker Dismissal Instructions

1. Parents picking up a walker will line up at the North entrance in front of the gym door.

2. Parent/Guardian will stand in line socially distancing 6ft from the next person in

line.

3. Parent will need to have Grade Level Student Dismissal Card to pick up students.

4. Parent and student will exit the right of the gym.

***If picking up older sibling, please move toward the next pickup location***

Parent Walker Dismissal Instructions

1. Parents picking up walker will line up at the back of the school facing the 3rd/ 4th grade level door.

2. Parent/Guardian will stand in line socially distancing 6ft from the next person in

line.

3. Parent will need to have Grade Level Student Dismissal Card to pick up students.

4. Parent and student will exit the right of sidewalk.

Note: 5th and 6th grade students will be dismissed out of grade level

back door to meet parents.

Student Walker Dismissal Instructions

1. Grade 3rd-6th student walking home without a parent pick-up will be dismissed at 3:05.

2. Students will exit the back grade level door walking on the sidewalk, socially distancing 6ft.

3. If student is picking up a sibling in Pre-K- 2nd grade, student will pick-up at the gym door by the basketball courts.

4. If student is picking up a sibling in 3rd -4th, student will go the 3rd/4th grade hall to pick-up sibling and exit the 3rd/4th back grade level door.

K- 6 Car Rider Dismissal Instructions:

Please be patient as we dismiss students safely following social distancing

guidelines as students will be dismissed from the classroom

1. Kinder - 2nd grade will be dismissed at 2:55 from the front entrance of the school.

2. 3rd-6th will be dismissed at 3:05 from the back of the school. Parent pick-up will be on Pecan Street unless picking up a younger sibling from the front of the school.

3. Please have the Car Rider Dismissal Card displayed in the front window for a smooth dismissal.

4. **If there are multiple siblings in a family, pick-up at the oldest grade level dismissal time slot**

For example: I have a kindergarten student, 1st grader and a 6th grader.

I will pick-up all students at 3:05.
