  • Peru has begun a comprehensive higher education reform process that seeks to create a high-quality educational system which will be better positioned to work together with its international counterparts.

Perus strategic sectors represent an opportunity for growth through scientific and technological research in software, agro-industry, power generation, infrastructure, hydrocarbons, construction and mining.

The universities, the government, and the private sector are working together on the launch of start-ups in an effort to create quality jobs and high-quality growth and innovation.

As an emerging market, Peru has signed over 20 free-trade agreements with the United States, the European Union, countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, among others, which has allowed it to become a regional investment hub.

Thanks to its cultural riches, its incredible archeological monuments, its amazing biodiversity and its renowned culinary scene, Peru has become not only a premier tourist destination, but also a world-class source of historical, anthropological, and sociological research.

Peru is currently adopting the standards of the OECD in order to become a member, laying the foundation for becoming a developed country.
