Summary results of the workshop No.1• Revision of inventories indicated/confirmed that documentation
and presentation of results are week points in national systems of this region
• The status of inventories/ systems differs a lot of among the countries
• The next GHG inventory will be performed under the UNDP project “2nd NC”
• This project will focus on improvement of sustainability of the national inventory systems and quality of results and in this way support preparation of 2nd NC
• To do so :– project will focus at the documentation of the system (manuals, archive, ..)– improve EFs and AD will following the source categories as presented in
Table 1 of the PD reflecting national priorities– Train national experts in GP– Establish regional web page– Develop public awareness campaign

Actions by RPM/UNDP
• Meeting minutes (15.9.2003)– Clarify terminology (key source inventory, inventory report…)– Modify slightly workshop schedule (4 workshops) in line with
comments from countries– Prepare list with deliverable deadlines – schedule for review
• Prepare templates for QPR (1.9.2003)
• Activities/deadlines under RER/01/G31 will be harmonised with project related to preparation of 2nd NC
• Finalise training package for GPG (UNDP)• Assess possibilities for future work with INFRAS in waste
sector
Next steps countries• Nominate NITL and send with ToR and CV
to RPM (immediately after the workshop)
• Complete CVs for workshop participants and sent to the project assistant (30.8.2003)
• Submit appropriate workplans including all basic elements by August 15, 2003 – (Components of the workplan were discussed
during the WG sessions)
